Re: fantasy impact of coronavirus
They should have just pushed it to a new weekend of football after the normal 18 week season. The Saints/Broncos game also. And any other games that too many players are out play that extra week. The steelers ravens game is now pushed back 6 days, what is one more day going to do to help anything?

I'm pretty surprised we made it through an entire fantasy season and there were no additional weeks added to the NFL schedule.

I agree, the NFL did an amazing job this year all things considered. The players brought some great competitiveness to the field each week in most cases. Two if the most powerful things in the world, and these dudes are young.Shankopotamus wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 3:37 am I'm pretty surprised we made it through an entire fantasy season and there were no additional weeks added to the NFL schedule.

Yes, our office has switched back to remote work via employee tracking app. I cannot condemn the decision of the authorities to reinforce the precautions, the situation is getting worse.
Re: COVID. The NON Fantasy football discussion
Remember when the sheep actually believed this virus could have only come from a bat in a wet market when the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s was doing "gain of function" research literally down the street and any other viewpoint was scrubbed from Social Media as Conspiracy Theory.
It will come out eventually that Fauci knew this from jump and politics were being played given it is coming out the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases helped fund this research at the Wuhan Institute.
The same idiots that dismissed this as conspiracy theory for political gain are now scrambling as the lab mishap theory looks more than plausible.
It will be interesting to see how long Fauci will be protected before he will be discarded given he believes doing this type research is still worth it even though 3 plus million have died.
His book was pulled from Amazon and B&N... So it begins.

Several things stand out here-
1- the coverage about these protocols have often focused on things like daily testing and social distancing. What's much more interesting to me is the weight room, sauna and steam room restrictions. Will definitely impact growth, development and recovery.
2- interesting that the restrictions apply to those who have had one jab but not the second.
3- worth noting teams that currently seem to have low vaccination rates, in case games get delayed again.

Can't understand why a player doesn't want to get vaccinated. Hoped the league was even stricter on limitations for unvaccinated player/personell.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 5:28 pmAlbert Breer wrote:[F]rom the NFL/NFLPA view, the [Covid 2029 protocol] negotiations weren’t to create two classes of players. Re: fantasy impact of coronavirus
What I don’t understand is why there are any sanctions on unvaccinated players or staff. The country is at the point where anyone can walk in and get vaccinated if they choose to do so, and football players are in an extremely low risk group. Instead there is severe coercion to get vaccinated by the league, which should be a matter of personal choice given that the vaccines are designated as experimental and there are no data on long term effects.

Re: fantasy impact of coronavirus
Beware, stupid comparison (as in topics aren't comparable, but principle is).
All players have the choice to smoke weed. But choices have consequences and the consequence for smoking weed is getting banned.
So it is for vaccination. You can make your own personal choice on if you want to or not, but there are consequences to that and the NFL (imho rightfully) decided a consequence is to limit access for unvaxxed players.
I always find it weird when people equalize freedom with lack of consequences.
To the main question you ask, why they decided to do so, I'm pretty sure they have many reasons. Also just because you yourself are in the extremely low risk group doesn't mean everybody you have contact is low risk. Don't forget, vaccination is a group project. It doesn't help much if it's only done by a few.
