AJ Brown vs Picks

Postby whodatbama » Fri Dec 18, 2020 8:21 pm

I see ppl calling AJB a top 5 WR but his stats are a step down from these 5 = DK, Adams, Hill, MT, Hop.

What do you think of this offer?

Get AJB for my two late 1st?

Brown for sure

In 0.5 PPR he is the WR5 on a PPG basis

He is on a 16 game pace of 74 receptions, 1217 yards and 13 TDs

In fantasy points that would have been the WR2 behind MT last year (TBD what it would be this year)

And he is 23 years old (one year older than someone like Devonta Smith)

He's considered top 5 in dynasty because of the combination of his production and age. Dk most have at 1 and I do as well. AJB is 23 compared to 27, 26, 27 and 28 for the other four respectively.
Two late firsts for him is incredibly cheap

I think the AJB owner will not respond to that offer.

This.

AJB is arguably a top 3 dynasty WR behind DK and Adams IMO. If it's (2) 1st they both better be the 1.01 and even them I might not do it (unless it's SF then that's a whole nother conversation)

I wouldn't remotely consider an offer of two late firsts for my AJB, but it's a solid good-faith opening for discussions.

If you're able to acquire him for that, do it immediately.
