Player A: 181 Att, 803 Yards (4.4 YPC), 4 TDs / 36 Receptions, 55 Targets, 297 Yards, 1 TD

Player B: 184 Att, 842 Yards (4.6 YPC), 7 TDs / 35 Receptions, 37 Targets, 298 Yards, 1 TD

Player A is CEH. Player B is JT. That's how close their numbers have been. CEH more targets, JT more TDs and higher YPC but it's close. You should be really pleased with both.
Just for funzies...

Player C: 110 Att, 568 Yards (5.2 YPC), 6 TDs / 18 Receptions, 23 Targets, 120 Yards, 0 TD

He's coming on lately, and they're finally using him... he's within shouting distance of the top rooks, and he's done it on just over half of the volume.

JK Dobbins is right on track...
Not to derail but I still want Swift over Dobbins (which has been my opinion since the summer).

Player D: 92 Att, 422 yards (4.6 YPC), 7 TDs / 39 Receptions, 49 Targets, 316 Yards, 2 TDs... In 11 games vs 13 for Dobbins

For me the receiving is the true difference maker but Swift is quietly proving he has a nose for the endzone as well and has a receiving floor that looks to be phenomenal. Long story short, all the rookie RBs look good, if you got a piece of the pie you should be very pleased for the future!

JT has caught 35 out of 37 targets? I thought he couldn't catch!

Also only has 1 fumble on 219 touches, despite having a roughly 1:50 fumble rate that was sure to carry over from college...

Per FootballOutsiders, he's literally the most efficient receiver at RB in the league.

I never had the option to draft Dobbins, and I liked him a lot, but I ended up with Swift instead. I outlined the case for Swift pretty clearly- he was likely going to get way more receiving work than Dobbins. Dobbins' situation was overvalued, probably because of Mark Ingram's unsustainable TD rate.

He opted out July 30, which is why CEH was going so much higher than JT in August and September.

So if you took any runningback in 2020 other than Vaughn, Dillon, or Moss you are probably not upset about it today. Or shouldn't be.

I took Moss and I’m not unhappy. I see a good chance that he’s minimumly the 1A RB in BUF. That can translate to a solid FF RB2/Flex option. And IMO that’s his floor.

That might be his floor IF he becomes the 1A RB in BUF, which is not at all guaranteed.

Like I said, a good chance. That means it’s not guaranteed. But he looks like a better all-around RB than Singletary as well as a better runner. BUF seems to have been leaning more his way as the season has progressed. IMO opinion of course.

Swift and Dobbins were also allegedly superior backs for this season.

Probably more like 2a and 2b in this situation as it is now. Singletary isn't going anywhere the next 2 seasons barring injury.

Okay, so what Im seeing here is that they are all performing just as well as each other on an efficiency basis, its essentially just a matter of who gets the most volume going forward IMO. And for my money I think it can go any one of 120 ways (5! (factorial of 5) since any of the top 5 backs could end up with the most or least volume IMO, They all have paths to RB1 volume, and 2nd tier RB volume)

I think an important distinction that's worth pointing out was there's a difference between can't catch / can't go out and run a route tree. He's proven to be competent so it doesn't really matter, but when I was watching tape I think it was clear he'd never be used like Kamara or CMC (even though I think it's possible Swift or CEH could be). Chubb and Henry aren't used like Kamara and it works out to be just fine, so no shade! I just think it's important context.

It’s hard to feel bad about Moss. I didn’t like him, don’t have him anywhere, but unless you took him before Gibson, he’s probably fine at his ADP. Vaughn and Dillon look like the Samaje Perine and D’Onta Foreman of the class so far.

Crazy to think that Etienne, Harris, and Hubbard could have been part of this class.
