Pay for a championship?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Pay for a championship?

Postby afrye1 » Fri Dec 18, 2020 5:08 pm

Team two in my sig

I never planned on being in the championship this year but here I am. With Dak and Kittle on IR. I will have picks 9 and 10 (out of 10 in round one). MT is out this week. Taysom isn’t the starter anymore so I have to sub in Matt Ryan. Making it to the ship doesn’t happen every year. Do I spend picks on anyone to better my odds? Or do I settle for a possible second place since I’m playing with house money and didn’t even plan to start competing for playoffs until next year?

If you think I should go after one or two players let me know who you think I could add to my team to better my odds.

TIA!

Brady or Big Ben shouldn’t cost much, and I would like your chances better with either.

I'd either dumpster dive or stay put and keep my picks.

Without knowing what your league looks like and what'd you'd have to give up to make a trade, remember that there are no guarantees in FF. You could give up the farm, get a Brady or Big Ben and then have them bleep the bed and still not get you the chip (and now you're out of those picks).

Your team is not bad or very far off, I'd look to the future vs. mortgaging it.

I'd try to get Ben for a reasonable price. Have a good feeling about him, esp. against Cincy.

As mentioned, Brees and Roethlisberger should be cheap. It all comes down to price.
