CEH averaged 2ypc; Bell was at 10 ypc.
I feel you, but I dont think breaking off two runs for 10 yards each is really an indication that Bell is certifiably better than CEH at this point. KC has all the info they need to make decisions like this and they still chose to put in CEH regardless of his inefficiency. Anyone can be good on two runs, if the stars align I could have a 10 ypc in the NFL on 2 carries too*, but that doesnt change the fact that no NFL coach would put me in over CEH.

* it would take a lot of stars

Does anyone still really expect him to sign a minimum contract to stay in this situation next season? They are much more likely to see a DWill return than bell.

There's still some upside to CEHs future. It may not come to fruition, but hes going to get his opportunities.
Agree; People really need to pump the breaks.

Le'veon turns 29 in February and Damien Williams does in April. I highly Doubt the 21 year old RB known as CEH who is averaging over 4 YPC with no camp and still learning the offense is too worried about those soon to be fossils.
Hope you are right. Not the season I had expected for CEH, but it's easy to see these guys improving after a year of NFL coaching and training. I bought low on CEH a few weeks back, expecting his value to increase over the offseason.
Probably a really smart move. Bell averaged a paltry 3.5 as a rookie then 4 good years until his implosion in 2018. It took Williams until his 5th season to hit the 4 YPC mark. In 7 years now including this one Williams has started 1 more regular season game than CEH has.

These two are not threats this year or next most likely. What Bell and Williams have in common is they both chose to sit out a season. Bell has never been the same and I highly doubt Williams will be if he even plays again.

He is the RB15 in half PPR despite Bell being around most of the season lol

Without Bell he's probably more like RB11-12 or so--right around his preseason redraft ADP

What were people expecting

He definitely wasn't being drafted to be a low-end RB1

RB1

For me his last few weeks have been disappointing but a few games aren't a death sentence given his body of work so far. Outside of that I'm happy with how it's been

In redraft? That sounds about right in redraft--maybe it soared and I don't remember

In dynasty a player's value isn't just determined by one season's expectations or performance--if I told you a certain rookie RB this year will be RB11-14 for the next 5 years where are you ranking them in a startup?

I am guessing like RB 8 or so

People were talking about him as a Top-5 startup pick before the season and he became the runaway 1.01 after his landing spot.

The thing is, hes not going to go as RB8 anytime soon.

I still don't know how much to take from these, but his next gen stats (RYOE, etc.) are ugly.

I know what I'm expecting when I draft a RB at 1.1. I'm expecting that if he's healthy, he produces enough that I can trust him for a playoff run. That's simply not the case with CEH right now.

CEH owners just waiting for one big week to think they've actually got a stud rb? That's all I see in the JT thread.
