How am I positioned for 2021?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

How am I positioned for 2021?

Postby jdacunha » Mon Dec 07, 2020 7:07 pm

This was a complete rebuild year for me. Finished 4-9 ended up with the following picks: #1, #3, #5, #6,#7, #11, #13, #17, #23 - will have 9 picked in the top 23 next year. Picks 5-7 are pending playoffs. Non-PPR 4 pt passing TD league

QB: Herbert, Goff
RBs: Akers, Singletary, Lindsay, Kelley, McFarland, Guice, J Howard, T Cohen
WRs: Diontae Johnson, Mike Williams, Lazar, Kirk, Fulham, J Meyers, Duvernay, Gage, Crowder, Collin Johnson, P Campbell
TE: J Smith, Firkser, Blake Jarwin

I am assuming I am locked in at Etienne at #1, since this is a RB heavy league, guessing Chase will fall to me at #3. After that I am assuming I will go BPA with a focus on RBs, since that is my bigger need. I have enough WR lottery tickets that can still develope.

Anything I could consider doing? I think I should keep most of my picks rather than trade back in 2022.
21 Players Dynasty-10 teams, (Non-PPR, 4 pts per passing TD)
QB: Justin Herbert, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance
RB:Najee Harris, Breece Hall, Cam Akers, Devin Singletary, Travis Etienne, N Hines, Jaylen Warren
WR: Jamar Chase, Dionte Johnson, Mike Williams, Allen Lazard, Rondale Moore, Kadarius Toney, Christian Kirk, R, Jakobi Meyers Devin Duvernay, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs
TE: Kyle Pitts, G Everett

I would look to sell Singletary, Lindsay and Crowder if anyone is buying for a decent price and hold all your picks this year and next. Build through the draft and if any good deals come along. It's to see Akers coming on the last two weeks.

I would use the first few picks but I have no problem dealing the others for 2022 ones

The RB depth past Etienne and Najee doesn't impress me and your team isn't ready in 2021

I am holding Lindsay and Crowder based on landing spot though--maybe Singletary I'd look to sell

I don't love those WRs. You have youth but no one I'd consider an elite WR 1, though Johnson has a chance. Given the plethora of 1sts you have, curious what the cost would be to move up to 1.2. Dominate the top 3, get two strong RB prospects and a strong WR prospects. Look into selling the rest of the 1sts for the best offers, including flipping for future ones.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex

League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def

League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def

Wouldn’t mind just using all those picks, but you could also go the opposite way on this. If people want to overpay for picks, you easily have the capital to speed up the rebuild and compete sooner if you sell a few off for players.

1qb league?
Hold the pics, take one of the top two RBs, whoever u judge to have best landing spot, at 1.

BPA at 3, maybe Chase or the other top RB.

Then grab one or two of the tier 1-2 QBs in those 5-11 spots of urs, maybe one of the top 3 TEs in that 11-23 section, but don’t lose sight of BPA here...
