Yea I don't like the perspective of automatically making the player out to be the victim. It seems in the NFL whenever there's a disagreement in professional sports people are quick to victimize the player and villainize the the ownership. Don't get me wrong there are some bad owners (Snyder), but most are more than willing to do whatever they can to keep their players happy. These players make 500k/year just for making the roster so I'm not sure why everyone is so quick to side with them in situations like that.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 10:59 pmThat's all it is, though. A guess. I personally don't think Lawrence would have done anything he didn't want to do. He could have opted out and been the 1.01. The known reality is Trevor wanted to play, pushed for a season, and isn't a victim of the NCAA. Nor are the players. They had an opt out to continue their (in many cases free) education, and not lose a year of eligibility, to my knowledge.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 6:50 pmMy guess is there were a lot of people behind the scenes who pushed Trevor, since he is the face of college football this season. I don't doubt he wanted to play, but they gave him more than a few nudges forwardFantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 6:07 pm
What? Trevor Lawrence pushed them into playing, or was trying to. He was trying to influence others into playing, including the NCAA/ACC. Trevor made the choice on his own, and advocated for a season, trying to use his star power as a prospect to ensure the games were played. Lawrence was fully aware of the risks, and was insistent on the season being played. It sucks he got sick, but he's no victim.

What's wrong with Seth Williams? He's someone who I've been very interested in but haven't seem to find any reason to dislike him like I could with most of the players. I am intrigued, maybe I missed something?StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 8:47 pm For 1 QB (or my 8 Team SF which is basically 1QB):

Others in consideration would be Kylie Hill pending being a malcontent, Kyle Trask, Jamie Newman, Brock Purdy, Charleston Rambo and Dazz Newsome
Seth Williams is someone else I have zero interest in
Re: Way too Early 2021 Draft Thread
Ross was my favorite player in this class, but I think he returns to school to re-establish his draft stock for 2022 rather than compete with another potentially historically strong WR class. If he gets 100% cleared and a Day 2 grade though I could see him deciding to still enter the draft and start getting paid.

His draft capital alone will put him in the top 25 if mocks are correct but I am not a fan because he seems like an archetypal college offense WR—I could see his fit in the NFL being limitedjjleurquin wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 11:30 pmWhat's wrong with Seth Williams? Not sure Kylin Hill is necessarily a "malcontent", as was suggested earlier. About ten percent of the Miss St. roster left. Something is going on there, and Leach is gutting the program to build what he wants.

He was a malcontent before this year. This is I believe he is pretty talented but it’s a bit of a patternFantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 4:46 pm Not sure Kylin Hill is necessarily a "malcontent", as was suggested earlier. Thoughts on Tylan Wallace? It’s less than ideal that he didn’t declare last year but he should have a good BOA and production profile. Plays fluidly on tape—I wonder if I knocked him too much for not being a junior declare

I mean it's odd to not want any piece of him and then put Surratt at 17 to me. They both are big contested catch type guys that have trouble seperating.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 4:28 pmHis draft capital alone will put him in the top 25 if mocks are correct but I am not a fan because he seems like an archetypal college offense WR—I could see his fit in the NFL being limitedjjleurquin wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 11:30 pmWhat's wrong with Seth Williams? I just threw on Lance's highlights, and about 2 minutes in I am thinking, if he plays this way in the NFL, he's going to get killed. Absolutely annihilated. I watched him a while back, but just revisiting, and I am not taking the risk at the price point on this player.

I really like Wallace's game. He was flashing in a big way before the injury last season.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 5:22 pm Thoughts on Tylan Wallace? Penn State RB Journey Brown retires from football due to heart condition that forced him to miss this season. Was one of the top RB prospects in this years draft class.

This years thin RB class just got even thinner. Sad as I thought he'd shine at the combine.

That’s very unfortunate because he had big time upside with his athleticism. Well thankfully nothing serious happened while he was playingbjd5211 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 6:22 pm https://mobile.twitter.com/AdamSchefter ... 8598101001

I agree I was not overly impressed with him. Zach Wilson is the wildcard who I think could be an interesting pick if he keeps it up. Potentially has Allen/Herbert level arm talent.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 7:09 am I just threw on Lance's highlights, and about 2 minutes in I am thinking, if he plays this way in the NFL, he's going to get killed.
