Re: Diontae Johnson is...... maybe really really good?
I'd say he's more Manny Sanders than AB.

I'm on board with that.

Re: Diontae Johnson is...... maybe really really good?
I'd definitely be interested in the next Manny Sanders as he was a severely underrated WR, but I don't think he's an apt comparison. Manny's game was much more downfield and he didn't display elite elusiveness in the open field.. he is also a significantly better athlete than Diontae (or AB for that matter) and wasn't utilized in special teams.

Clearly not—he needs an extra 2 lbs in arm length.DynastyDrum30 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 1:24 pm Fun fact:

ABs ego adds the extra weight and his arms have stretched from all the passes caught over the years. DT will catch up as his career progressesIce wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 1:29 pmI thought it was AB had the big head!Ruggenater wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 1:27 pmClearly not—he needs an extra 2 lbs in arm length.DynastyDrum30 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 1:24 pm Fun fact:

Not to argue the point, comps are never perfect, but I thought Diggs was a far better athlete than all of Sanders, AB, and Johnson? Or am I remembering that wrong?lukkynumber13 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 10:53 am For me, Diontae Johnson looks like a Stefon Diggs clone (Diggs himself is basically 85-90% of what AB was as a player in his prime)

He ran a 4.46, but to the eyeball test I think Diggs is a similar athlete to Diontae. They CAN run past you, but it'll be primarily because they got you to bite at the start of the route, as you are so scared of their YAC abilities rather than them just sprinting past you a la Fuller, Ruggs, or HillLumps wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 10:54 amNot to argue the point, comps are never perfect, but I thought Diggs was a far better athlete than all of Sanders, AB, and Johnson? Could agree with this. The same factors that had me high on AB before he broke out pointed me towards Diggs. Diggs is a different physical player (taller, and a better athlete), but as far as how they win the comp is apt.
Re: Diontae Johnson is...... maybe really really good?
Every time he's played this szn and hasn't gotten injured in the 1st quarter (three times) he's been filthy. With most people's trade deadlines coming up, now would be a very good time to buy still. This guy can flat out ball. I think the AB/Diggs comps are spot on. He's obviously more like Diggs than AB, but still. I found this on Twitter and thought it was interesting.

Parallels are just too striking... the most important one being the way they run. They just have different feet from the rest of the NFL which allows them to create separation at ease, and change direction on a dime to glide past defenders.Lumps wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 10:29 amI know this was tongue in cheek, but these aren’t the only #s that are nearly identical.DynastyDrum30 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 1:24 pm Fun fact:

Maybe he'll never be as elite as Antonio Brown, but everything about him from size, athleticism, to the way they win in the NFL puts him in the same mold.
