Is Pettigrew a top 5 TE
What do you all expect form Pettigrew, both now and long term? Potential to be a top 3-5 TE? Or will Jahvid and Calvin limit his redone targets. I can't figure out if this guy will always be a top 12, or if he has the potential to slide up into the upper tier.

I think your going to get inconsistent results with Pettigrew. Last week they used him a lot in place of a running game, 2 weeks ago he laid an egg as Schieffler got the love. Pettigrew also shares some targets with Burleson

I think he has good/very good talent. And, he may put up a top 3 TE year like Mercedes Lewis did last year. But, I don't think he'll be a regular there. He certainly has the situation to vault him there though. Stafford looks like the real deal as a top 5 potential QB.

Pettigrew is someone I hope strings a bunch of great games together so I can sell high. He doesn't seem consistent enough to be a long-term top dynasty TE.

Re: Is Pettigrew a top 5 TE
He needs to find the endzone more to get in the top 5 category. Theway things are looking he will be a chris cooley in his prime type of scorer. Steady reliablity, but nothing flashy. I am thinking if teams find a way to slow calvin in the redzone, grew will get some tds, but right now calvin cant be stopped.
Re: Is Pettigrew a top 5 TE
Davis, Graham, Gronkowski, Hernandez, Finley are all ahead of him on tier 1. Then you can think about guys like Olsen, Kendricks, Rudolph, Cook ect on tier 2/3 I think he is somewhere in the second group.

1 thing about him is that he is a great run blocker so his reception skills tend to get over looked from what ive seen. But his blocking ability will keep him on the field
