You Can Trade Away RoJo Now... Last Chance?

I always laugh when I see the title of the thread.

And I think to myself "ohhhh ok, here's 1 more week to trade him away, but you better do it now, this is your last chance"

In one of my leagues yesterday, I saw ROJO traded for just a 2021 2nd(from the team with the best record), man that seems super cheap to me. I still don’t think he’s a world beater or anything but I’m definitely liking what I’ve been seeing and glad I’ve held onto my shares of him.

The real question is, did anyone else offer their second for him. players are only as valuable as a person is willing to pay within a league for him.

Right, but there’s also the idea of “what’s the purchasing power of that late 2021 second?” and if there’s a big gap between what he could have got with that second if he offered it to everybody vs. Jones.

I have no use for Washington. Akers talent should(?) eventually win out, maybe... It's a bird in the hand thing and my team is winning now.

Not really. Jones is 23, had a solid season last year and showed drastic improvement. He's showed improvement again this year. He's transformed into a tough, physical inside runner, and TB seems committed to feeding him. Jones has 2 years left in TB, and if he keeps playing like this, he'll be the lead back for the rest of it.

I've been trying to trade for a RB1 to go with Jacobs. With the ray RoJo has been balling I might be set. He's looked DAMN good watching his games.

I ended up trading Rojo away for Akers and Hollywood Brown.

Leaves me with Kamara, Mixon, Swift, Akers, J. Jackson and Penny in the backfield.

Early 2nd, late 2nd and Marlon Mack in a SF league. This league is start 3 RB minimum.

Gave up Drake, DJ, Mooney for Rojo, McKinnon, Amendola 2021 3rd, SF/TE premium

This thread may be best thread on here and i feel like everyone should just glance through it here and there, it shows some things

A. Rookie or even sophomore backs dont always produce immediately, dont give up on them, be patient like we are with WRs. There seems to be some myth out there that rookie RBs produce immediately and if they dont they are busts, thats not true, Rojo and especially King Henry show this

B. "Take lock" is a real thing. We all get stuck in takes on players sometimes and it can hurt us in this fun game. I still wont touch Davante Parker for instance and refuse to believe he is any good, data may show im wrong but i refuse to believe it Sometimes guys we hate are good and we need to be able to see that, and sometimes "our guys" suck and we need to cut bait. We need to adjust to things as they come or miss out on opportunities

C. Dynasty truly is about the long run and the fun of it is watching these young players develop and debating/ Arguing with friends or random people on message boards about players.

I do love this thread though and it always makes me laugh.

Jones came into the league as a smallish, big play back, and transformed himself into a 225 LB between the tackles bruiser. I can't recall this type of thing happening. I remember when Bell CUT weight, and it allowed him to become a much more explosive back, but I can't recall something like this, so our college impression of Rojo is basically irrelevant at this point.
