Should I give up 2022 1st for Jonathan Taylor?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Should I give up 2022 1st for Jonathan Taylor?

Postby jobiegermano » Wed Oct 21, 2020 12:48 pm

I’m trying to target J. Taylor with some combination of the following:

Diontae Johnson
Le’Veon Bell (owner has CEH)
Bryan Edwards
Deebo Samuels
Christian Kirk
Four 2021 2nds (rookie only draft)
One 2022 1st (rookie only draft)
One 2022 2nd (rookie only draft)

What do you think would be the best package to offer for JT?

I would give a 2022 1st + any one of the players listed if that lands Taylor. Is this the Taylor's owners price to land him?

If you could get him for Bell and the 2022 1st I would do that...
what has he asked for, or are you trying to open at this point?

That's not close for JT imo. If that first is 1.01 it's still not all that close. I can't imagine selling JT for less than an AJB/DJM/Golloday type player, but if it is for picks it starts at two 1st rounders +. Maybe Deebo, 2021st and Edwards gets it done, but that will depend on if he is still high on Deebo.
12 Team Dynasty, (SF) (2pt/c TE Prem)
QB - Wentz, Heinicke, Big Ben, Fitz, Tyrod, Rudolph
RB - Henry, Kamara, CMC, R. Jones, D. Felton, P. Lindsay
WR - Ridley, Pittman, Cooks, M. Williams, MT, AJG, R. Higgins, Perriman, Shi Smith, MVS
TE - Gesicki, Engram, Uzomah, Hurst, Manhertz, Farrell

2022: 1,2,3,4

I don’t think JT would get shipped for that
10 Team .5 PPR 1QB
QB,RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, W/R/T, W/R/T

QB: Herbert, Rodgers, Kyler, Watson, Howell
RB: Bijan, Achane, Barkley, Allgeier, Breida, Gainwell, Strong, Tucker
WR: AJB, Adams, Wilson, Hill, Higgins, Reed, JSN,, T. Marshall, Boutte, Arob, Ross
TE: Pitts, Kincaid, Waller, Bellinger

No 24 or 25 picks other than 4th and 5th each year.

I’m not saying he should be worth this much right now but J.Taylor is already going for as much as guys like S.Barkley. He’s more than likely going to be a first rounder in startup drafts in 2021. It will take a lot to acquire him right now. He’s not putting up “monster” games yet but very solid numbers considering he’s still sharing carries and playing with a QB who doesn’t open the field up much for the running game.

I'm not sure that entire pile gets JT let alone a couple pieces.

Could try Deebo+Diontae+2022 1st. Doubt that gets it done either but decent offer.

I would not trade Taylor for all of that.
