IT'S HAPPENING

The young man looks great, plenty of juice. Looks easily the superior inside runner to McKinnon.

Frankly? I'm shocked it took this long to see him take meaningful carries... but the milk's out of the bottle now. If I was to stab wildly at prognostication, I'd say this is the eventual 1a/1b with Mostert for this season.

Oh man I dunno about that. Coleman will return to the lineup. Jeff Wilson is no scrub either. I could see Hasty next year having a bigger role.

I did say WILD prognostication. And I'll fully admit to it being more like wish-fulfilment at this point.

What's going on with Coleman, though? He looked absolutely dreadful at the start of the season, and I've not really followed him since.

Wilson I don't mind, and he's clearly ahead in the pecking order as a vet that knows the system - but he doesn't have anything close to the change-of-direction agility that Hasty was just displaying on prime time tv. I've got to think that Shanahan is incredibly specific with both how he wants plays run (the look is everything for selling those fakes in this offense) and with how large the playbook likely is. That's my best guess as to why we've not seen Hasty with any meaningful work yet - Rookies are at a big disadvantage this year, as we well know.

But with his hand forced, I think we caught a nice little glimpse of why Kyle was so keen to hang on to this guy, and went out of his way to protect him as one of the untouchable practice squad players. It also matches up with what the beat writers were saying in training camp - that there were days where the best back on the field was Hasty.

I'm just saying - I can see it.

Edit: Looks like I'm not the only one who was impressed...

Jefferson, Lamb, Higgins all look great and others like Ruggs, Aiyuk look good too but just have missed time. It’s such a strong group.

If only Jeudy could get rolling...

I'm personally going Jefferson since he's had multiple absurd games now, and is doing it on the outside (vs CeeDee in the slot) and on a team that's throwing for 215 YPG entering today (vs 381 for the Cowboys).

ROJO goes over 100 again, for the 3rd week in a row, with 23-112 2 TDS. Man, that guy stinks. Seriously though, I’m mad at myself for not starting him in more of my leagues, only started him in one of my leagues and I have him in a bunch, picked him up after his rookie season for cheap in some and off waivers in some, but even though I agree that he’s not the most complete back, I don’t know that Fournette will get the full role there in TB, Jones has shown enough to at least get a decent share of the work, imo.

I think you’re right, he’s looked great so far.

I'm not ready to move things too much being week 6 but I've definitely moving Jefferson and Claypool up as they have answered a few questions I had on them (Jefferson playing outside was the big thing for him), Whilst we haven't seen a lot, I think Ruggs is set to be a feature guy in that offence soon so I'm buying that when previously I was hesitant. Lamb I already had top 2 on my wr list and even though he is killing it I haven't moved him anywhere as he is doing what I would have expected killing it from the slot but I still want to see him outside etc I was possibly the biggest Reagor fan on these boards and I'm not ready to move him anywhere till I see him string some games together but it hurts that he has missed so much time whilst these other guys are balling out.

Not only that but there’s still a chance for Reagor,Pittman and Edwards to come back and be productive as well. This class is already rivaling 2014 with a chance to surpass

That should be with his rushing tds, 4 receiving and 2 rushing, but he seems to be a guy that they wanna use in that way consistently

The dude was being talked about as the WR1. He now has 1 game over 84 yards since Antonio Brown left town.
Is it because he's not good or because defenses have been rolling over to stop him and now the Steelers are using Claypool to even the field? I wouldn't be surprised if Juju starts breaking out as we head into the second half with defenses having to balance their coverage.
