I'd sell low on Hilton and get what I could now before his value completely collapses.

Re: Buy lows?
I thought he and AJG could be Buy lows at the start of the year, but neither guy is the same anymore. IF they have a blow up game, easily sell them on that and name valueOrenthal Shames wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 5:01 pmI'd sell low on Hilton and get what I could now before his value completely collapses.

Re: Buy lows?
If he signs with a new team in FA, he could see a bounce back in 2021. So, I think he's a reasonable flyer.
But if you're thinking this season, then I don't see it. His numbers without Luck in Indianapolis are not good.

Mecole Hardman. I've been trying to trade him on a couple teams and everyones valuing him at basically nothing. If you can offer anything of value for him it might just get accepted. Obiously he's not super involved right now but he probably will get a shot at being the 2nd WR on that offense at some point. If you're in a rebuild he's a prime target.
Re: Buy lows?
I bought in the off-season thinking he'd get his role expanded. Hasn't happened yet, but I swear he's Tyreek-litejjleurquin wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 5:49 pm Mecole Hardman. I'd say Isabella. You can get him for a song. They just missed on a big play last week. He had a few TD's the week before, on short routes. He's getting more routes and snaps. Fitz is washed. Izzy should be more involved going forward.

Also, take a look at Drakes carries from week 4 and tell me you still want Edmonds handeling these. It looked like Saquon week 1 vs Pittsburgh. Drake was getting murdered the entire game. Unless Edmonds can truck 3 guys at once the Cardinals need to improve the play calling and run blocking before the backfield does anything.

I still think he is an above average, not elite running back, and Edmonds is just a good change of pace guy. I was wrong about the Cardinals offense taking a step forward, and I was wrong about Drakes involvement in the passing game.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 3:17 amI know part of this is that you are trying to convince yourself you didn't make the wrong move, and stated it was your first mistake ever, trading for him, BUT Drake, may actually be a buy low, if somebody is getting sketchy on him, and will sell cheap. Kliff mentioned the need to get him into space, and that he's a dynamic player. Maybe he realizes throwing WR screens and short passes to Hopkins all game is getting figured out, and that he needs to shake things up a bit. They have been pathetically predictable, and Kyler isn't such a great player that he can overcome bad coaching. He has no idea how to audible, he's just a lackey at this point, and Kilff needs to become a better play caller. Getting Drake involved in the passing game, and not just running him into the back of his guards would be a good start.MFundercover wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 3:13 am The Cardinals have watched Edmonds every day for 2 years, still they traded a pick for Drake and tranition tagged him. I cant imagine anybody who thinks the solution is giving Chase Edmonds more work and not making other changes is the solution. Pretty sure these people just look at the box score and dont watch the games. If the Cardinals actually sort things out, Drake will still be the guy to benefit.
I wish it was as simple as the "experts" think it is. I'll take rb2/rb1 numbers from Edmonds with Drake as the cuff. Makes no difference to me.
I'm not sure where you saw that they said Edmonds is not the guy, and is only a COP back? Do you have a link for this?
They traded for Drake within like a day after Edmonds was hurt. DJ was already hurt at that time. And the pick they gave was only a conditional. Yes, they liked what they saw from Drake for the remainder of the season, and tagged him. He's been given the opportunity so far this year - but he just has not taken those reigns. He's only signed through this season - I can see a very easy path to this being Edmonds' backfield come next year; maybe sooner if Drake doesn't get back to form in the next game or two.
I agree Drake is talented but not elite - but I also think the same of Edmonds. You don't pop off 126 yards and 3 TDs in a game without some talent. So if given the choice between Drake who will want a pricey contract next year versus Edmonds who is on the cheap - I don't think that's a tough call at all based on what Drake hasn't shown. ARI could certainly look to the draft for help at the position, but I don't see them doing this at least until the mid rounds - so we'll just have to see how thinkgs shake out in the off-season.
While I agree with your take that Drake is no scrub and Edmonds is no world beater (as some people may be making out); I also don't think Drake is anywhere near that much better than Edmonds that there is no risk he gets relegated to backup duty. At some point the man needs to put some numbers on the board and so far he has not done that.

The Edmonds buy low window (if it was actually ever open) is officially closed methinks.

Re: Buy lows?
So let's talk about the ARI backfield some more.
I don't want to have an argumentative, lop-sided "Drake is too good a talent to get benched in favor of Edmonds" conversation, nor do I want to have a, argumentative, lop-sided "Drake is a bum and this will be Edmonds backfield soon" conversation.
But if we look at this objectively, what exactly is here? I feel like Drake is better than he's looked all year. Or at least most of us thought he was. But I also think Edmonds was better than a lot gave him credit for. But maybe not so good as to immediately take the job outright. I think we're going to see this same kind of muddy committee approach for the remainder of this year.
In the interest of a buy low/sell high kind of post (that is the thread after all lol) - I don't think ARI is going to extend/re-sign him and so I think Drake is a buy low if you can sit on him until next year - AND if you think he can go somewhere else, get better usage, and perform better than what we've seen him do so far this year. Get him now while he's at a reduced price, and stash him.
On the flip-side, I'm not convinced Edmunds can hold a bellcow role all to himself. I think there's a good possibility ARI will look for an RBBC next year, between Edmonds and either a mid-round RB from the draft or someone through FA - so I think Edmonds is a sell high right now based on the perception that he's set to inherit a backfield that I really don't think he's going to inherit.
Thoughts?

Re: Buy lows?
Edmonds had a nice play today, still doesnt change my mind about what I had said. I dont think either are buy lows at this point, Arizona is a backfield to avoid.
Who knows what direction they will go in the offseason, but if it were my call, I wouldn't be spending significant draft capital on a running back when they need offensive line and defense. Edmonds will probably be a part of a committee again next season, whether it's with Drake or someone else.
