Patriots facility shut down again as of 7am eastern this morning per Schefter. No details that I’ve seen.

And out go my pats players. Supposedly another player tested positive on Saturday.

Highly recommend finding alternatives for pats and broncos players.

So the Buf/Ten game is a wrap then right? Thought I read the NFL say it’s over I’d they get one more positive.

I think there might be a slim chance if they have absolutely nothing between now and then since it's 2 days away and protocols call for 2 clean tests each 24 hours apart, but my guess would be it doesn't happen.

With that announcement I think we'll get a titans one by tomorrow. I'm sure they are trying to avoid a forfeit at all costs

You would think players and coaches would not be doing things to expose themselves to the virus.

You would also think the NFL would have a better plan to deal with this.

The continuing problem is that you can have the virus and test negative for several days before you test positive. It's a huge disadvantage for the NFL, because just when you think you're out of the woods, you're not.

I think the vast majority are taking this seriously. But there is only so much the nfl can do to contain spread. Titans have appeared to violate some of the procedures, I'm sure we'll hear about penalties at some point.

Problem is you can do everything right and still get it. The NFL itself says their protocols are for risk mitigation and identifying infections quickly so minimize spread, not to completely eliminate the chance of getting it, which is pretty impossible.

I agree. Both sides have to do their part.

It's not encouraging when they show sidelines and you see coaches and personnel not wearing masks, or taking it off to talk, despite warnings not to do so. We saw a lot of it yesterday in college football.

People just continue to not take this pandemic seriously and the numbers back it up.

Unless they make a bubble there is no way to avoid the virus entirely. The NFL proposed a bubble and was shot down. I would like to see a longer window than 2 days of negative testing, but outside of that there is not much they can do other than isolate and mitigate outbreaks. Outside of the titans, they have been extremely successful in doing so.

I still think forfeits should be a last resort scenario.

Wonder if the NFLPA would be more agreeable to having a "bubble" for each team at least now. Seems like a big miss. Although, I do agree with why they rejected it in terms of family quality of life. Lots is being piled on the NFL (not directed at you specifically) but I'm never sure if they mean the NFL teams/owners or the NFL+NFLPA.

Bubbles from both a time and a population perspective are much more difficult than the NBA or NHL which both had much smaller teams and much shorter seasons.
