I believe he went to the advisory committee and didn't like his draft grade. It was doubtful he would have been the top back selected this past year.C_n_red_again wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 6:25 pm Thier were a number of places that had him as their rb1. I recall pff did. The VAST majority of mock drafts had him behind Swift/Dobbins/Taylor and that was before CEH's big rise into the equation after draft day.C_n_red_again wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 6:25 pm Thier were a number of places that had him as their rb1. Etienne was my favorite RB last year ... excited to see his improvement this year.

Patience, vision and decision making were my biggest issues with him. He gets away with stuff in that conference he won't at the next level. One of my biggest concerns was his pass catching, and he actually had anxiety with it,a few years ago. He's improved dramatically, where it actually may be a strength of his now.Forza_Azzurri wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 8:04 pm Etienne was my favorite RB last year ... excited to see his improvement this year.

Najee Harris lol. He may not be a top notch athlete, but he’s just a good RB. Great receiver and has all the qualities to be a good RB at the next level. Bummed I won’t be able to snag him in all my leagues

I wonder how well he'll translate, TBH. He's really on the older side. He'll be 23 in March. I question how he'll handle not running against younger players. He'll need to get his career going right away, at that age, or he won't hold a ton of value beyond year 1.alewilliam789 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 9:42 pm Najee Harris lol. When is everyone going to wake up and realise that Etienne is, and always has been, better than Swift lol
Re: Way too Early 2021 Draft Thread
Tough to say I guess. I do like the player a lot and he's the RB1 for now for me... Can't blame a kid for wanting to go back and try to win another championship either. Hope it works out for himC_n_red_again wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 6:25 pm Thier were a number of places that had him as their rb1. I recall pff did. I think he truly wanted to come back to school.

x2. This sub is so weird with their Swift love. Dude was liked by this community when he was in college, then consensus had him as the 3rd or 4th RB in rookie drafts, he hasn't looked all that incredible in the NFL, and somehow he is the best RB in either the 20 or 21 classes. People are dumb.cantguardjake wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 3:07 am When is everyone going to wake up and realise that Etienne is, and always has been, better than Swift lol

Or you just want to screw me over in our league and are posting about it just to play your mind games, got burned, and are unhappy about itgogobradyarm wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 7:32 amx2. It's really hard to get a read on him because he is so often running with a full head of steam going up against a DB 10 yards down field the first time he gets contacted. It's hard to look bad in that scenario. Bama's backup RB also looked like Walter Payton last night.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 10:52 pmI wonder how well he'll translate, TBH. Re: Way too Early 2021 Draft Thread
I mean he fell in rookie drafts because of landing spot. He was still neck and neck with Taylor for the top rated prospect by most heading into the draft. It's certainly more than possible for people to think he's the best player but in the worst situation and draft him lower because of it. No one was saying he was a Barkley level prospect that was immune to landing spot or anything.gogobradyarm wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 7:32 amx2. This sub is so weird with their Swift love. This year's top 4 picks in fantasy rookie drafts were almost 100% driven by landing spot.

Etienne received a 2nd round grade from the NFL, so he likely would've had similar pedigree as Swift.gogobradyarm wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 7:32 amx2. This sub is so weird with their Swift love. Mizelle ADP had Swift as the 1.01 in February and 1.02 in March. Swift was the 2nd RB off the board. So, the NFL and dynasty community aligned in their valuation of Swift.
I did think Swift was a little overrated as a prospect when he was going that high, but he has not looked bad so far with the time he's received. He's just stuck with a clueless head coach for the time being.
If Swift was selected by Kansas City, we're not even having this conversation. Just shows you how much landing spot influences opinions on RBs.
