Being offered 2022 1st for mostert in a 12 team superflex full ppr dynasty league. I’m pretty much dead in the water and out of contention for this year. Thoughts??

impossible to know how early it is likely to be, but you may struggle to get a first for him next year. Maybe try and get a flier added in on top?

Just posted this in the trade thread, I moved McKinnon+Mostert for a 2023 1st. I only received feedback from one guy but it was good feedback based on the year of the 1st rounder.

The 2 year difference in getting production out of that pick is worth more right now than the possibility of the 2023 pick being higher. You should easily be able to sell the 2021 1st while on the clock for a 2022 1st + something, or a 2023 1st + bigger something.

As far as my situation, I have no regrets about the trade. Making trades is pulling teeth in my league and I'm happy to move on from backfield that will likely look much different in two seasons.

If your team sucks, pick is a no-brainer, especially since you said you're having a really hard time trading him anyway in your league.

I get it, my league is typically less active than average and/or stingy with trades.

I would make this deal even with the pick two years out if your team is not competing.

I don't think there's any harm in trying to get a little bit more, especially if this is an initial offer, but if you are not competing this year, than I'd easily take the pick.

I just pulled this same trade. I actually traded him for a 2022 2nd but my league is a keep 7 so that pick is basically the equivalent of a mid to late first.

The way I see it, I’m rebuilding to hopefully be competitive by 2022. Mostert is not going to help me be competitive in 2022, but a pick is.

Also- I like Mostert as much as the next guy, but his numbers in the first 2 games this season pretty much all came off 1 play in each game. He’s not going to have 85+ yard TDs every week.
