Lamb for OBJ

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Lamb for OBJ

Postby bawilks » Thu Jul 30, 2020 3:57 pm

I have a potential trade offer talking with my co-worker. He said he would trade me Lamb straight up for my OBJ. Being that OBJ will be 28 this year and his production has gone way down since Eli fell off and being traded to the Browns. I am struggling believing Baker will figure it out and worried that OBJ wont ever be the same receiver he was the first 3 years of his career.

Would it be totally crazy to trade OBJ straight up for an unproven but high potential rookie? I have listed my current WRs below.

Agholor, Nelson
Amendola, Danny
Beckham, Odell
Bourne, Kendrick
Boyd, Tyler
Cephus, Quintez
Cobb, Randall
Hardman, Mecole
Kupp, Cooper

Pascal, Zach
Pittman, Michael
Slayton, Darius
Watkins, Quez
Arcega-Whiteside
Campbell, Parris

QB: Wilson, Prescott
RB: Jacobs, Montgomery, Robinson, Walker III, Moss, Evans
WR: Hopkins, Thielen, McLaurin, V. Jefferson, MVS, Samuel, Lazard
TE: Ertz, Knox, Hurst

10 Team PPR, QB, 2RB, 3WR, 2FLEX, TE, K, DEF
QB: Cousins, Wentz, Lawrence, Jones
RB: Henry, Ekeler, Sanders, Robinson, Pollard, Mack, R. White
WR: M. Thomas, Jefferson, McLaurin, Woods, C. Ridley, Sutton
TE: Ertz, Gronk, Freiermuth, Tonyan

I'm extremely high on Lamb and took him with the 1.03 and I'm low on Beckham, but you should still be getting more back.

I’m not in on OBJ at all but I’d be looking for a mid to late 2nd coming with Lamb

Lamb might get you halfway there on OBJ for me. Maybe. Straight up is very far apart imo.

Just curious after seeing Lamb play the start of the season, and OBJ have a good game against the Cowboys, where everyone still stands on this

I'm not sure a Lamb owner would trade him for OBJ straight up at this point.

I've been wondering the same thing but I think Jenkins is right, that most Lamb owners wouldn't take OBJ straight up

I still think OBJ is the more talented player, but the youth and situation on Lamb's side would make it difficult for a Lamb owner to make that trade

After seeing these first four games, I would say that you would be doing well to get Lamb straight up for OBJ at this point. I also agree with your initial thought process that OBJ is getting older and that he isn't someone that you can always rely on. Personally, I would rather have Lamb when the playoffs come around.

I'd take lamb straight up. If I could get a 2nd on top, even better.

I'd take Lamb straight up. After this season you may not be able to make this trade.

Better to bail on OBJ a season too early than too late when you can get a return Lamb.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.
