Pitts definitely the TE1 for fantasy, but Freiermuth very much in play for TE1 in the NFL Draft. Pitts is a pure receiver, Freiermuth is a more prototypical TE who is both an excellent receiver and quality run blocker for the position.alewilliam789 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 10:32 amI remember reading Freiermuth as TE1 and watching Pitts I just didn’t understand it. Don’t disagree with you, but he’s not a terrible blocker. Obviously not known to be a great blocker, but I’d be surprised if they asked him to do it much at the next level. Even Hockenson who is a good blocker isn’t being used as much to block at the next level (could just be the Lions tho). When you have someone like Pitts who is an absolute matchup nightmare at any level (6’6” and a plus athlete) with good ball skills and an ability to run some nice routes it’s difficult to me how you can justify taking him over a player like Freiermuth. Is Freiermuth a safer selection? Maybe, but that’s how you select Mitch Trubisky over Pat Mahomes right there.bjd5211 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 11:01 amPitts definitely the TE1 for fantasy, but Freiermuth very much in play for TE1 in the NFL Draft. Freiermuth is no slouch as a receiver or athlete himself though, he's not a blocking TE who can catch, he's a receiving TE who can block. Both are excellent players and legitimate 1st round prospects and either one could be the first TE taken.

87 yard TD from Waddle. Big play machine.bjd5211 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 9:30 amAnd the Mizzou game last week. Tomorrow vs Texas A&M probably worth checking out too.bjd5211 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 3:25 pmWatch the Auburn game from last year.Krypto_King wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 3:16 pm
so he's good because he was a 5 star and that's that. was he a 5 star? What do you like about him?
Waddle probably my #2 WR behind Chase now, dude is so explosive and dangerous with the ball in his hands.
Re: Way too Early 2021 Draft Thread
Jones and Darnold may not be the only problem, but they aren't the solution either. If you pass on Fields or Lawrence because you have Jones or Darnold, you'll still be picking at the top to middle/top of the draft for years to come. Don't pass up a chance for greatness at QB for a peak of mediocrity. As a Vikings fan, I would love for them to lose this year and get a chance at one of them to replace Cousins. Cousins is above average, but not elite and not taking them anywhere.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 3:32 pmIf the Giants look at this team and think Jones is the problem they're dumber than the team that hired Matt Patricia
Darnold isn't the problem either but after three years a fresh start makes sense for both parties

Waddle: 5/142/1
Metchie: 5/181/2
Smith: 6/63/1
vs. A&M
First time we saw Metchie have a big game. Could be a prospect to look out for in 2022.

Alabama WRs gonna have less than perfect stat totals again because there are so many of them once again.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 5:12 pm Waddle: 5/142/1

Yep, just one of those teams where you can't look strictly at advanced metrics for validation. If any of these players played on some weak team like Wake Forest, they'd easily dominate targets and yardage. They share targets and blow teams out and it just dilutes everything.bjd5211 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 5:31 pmAlabama WRs gonna have less than perfect stat totals again because there are so many of them.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 5:12 pm Waddle: 5/142/1

Well based on his past few games Waddle may break that. He’s already moved up to my WR 2 above Bateman, but that could change once I watch more of the Big 10 this yearCameron Giles wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 5:34 pmYep, just one of those teams where you can't look strictly at advanced metrics for validation. Right now, I still have Chase and Moore for sure ahead of him.alewilliam789 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 8:54 pmWell based on his past few games Waddle may break that. I’m still fleshing out my rankings, but Moore is below Bateman for me for now until I see he’s regained his jittery perfection again. I have significant worries about his size, but his skills are undeniable. Unless you press him at the line, there isn’t a corner alive that can keep up with him with his ridiculous quickness/speed combination. I’ll be interested to see how they utilize him as wellCameron Giles wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 9:22 pmRight now, I still have Chase and Moore for sure ahead of him.alewilliam789 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 8:54 pmWell based on his past few games Waddle may break that. 1 Chase
2 Waddle
3 Batemon
4 Moore
For me right now, but it's early.

Re: Way too Early 2021 Draft Thread
Yes this is my ranking for now as well. I’m an analytics guy tho and Waddle will neither have a good BA and may or may not have a good DR. The top 3 (Chase, Bateman, Moore) looked good analytically whether they played this season or not. Like me some Tylan Wallace as well, but haven’t been able to tune into much of his games.
Either way the Rookie 1st round of this class will have some solid talent.

Re: Way too Early 2021 Draft Thread
This draft class is looking a lot better just after a few games.
Chase not playing, but a stud last year.
Etienne looking great in passing game after already looking good as runner
Waddle and Smith balling out.
Pitts running away as nightmare mismatch at TE.
Lawrence, Fields, and Lance all looking good at QB.
This doesn't even go into some other lesser names that have performed, just those believed to be at top of class before start of season.
