Vikings are shut down indefinitely, as the average transmission time is 5-7 days, with a longest time exceeding 14 days. The way covid builds (its viral load) means that someone could test negative 12 straight days (while isolating) and test positive on the 13th.
Incubation time, not transmission time. No biggie just making sure correct info is there.
yes, should have read bedtime story prior to typing a reply, as i obviously didn't reread what i wrote.

Super disappointed in some of the Raiders. Having a charity event that breaks league protocol and Nevada law. Unbelievably stupid.

Looks like the NFL has told teams moving forward suspensions and loss of draft picks if teams don't follow sideline mask rules. That should change some behaviors......

They should have just handed out suspensions for coaches who remove/don't wear their mask. You can talk through a damn mask.
Damnit! why can't the NFL hire me?

Not much of a surprise given how Gruden has made a mockery of the mask rules, if he's not going to take COVID seriously then why would the rest of the franchise? They're just following their leaderships example.

I don't really buy that. Gruden didn't really make a mockery of it, he just had it down a few times where he shouldn't, trying to communicate. Gruden adjusted this weekend, and changed his behaviour. This is a different situation, with people not wearing masks at all, around people who aren't tested daily. They are grown men, as a fan, I hold them accountable. Guys like Witten and Carr should know better.

Did he get fined this week? Seriously, they don't have them on at all times, nor are they required to. It might have been a few seconds where he's away from players (looks that way, to get a breath of air). Regardless, my point stands, they went to a charity event with people who weren't tested, in a room with over the lawful limit. They acted of their own accord. I blame them. Anyway, I don't care to discuss it further, as a fan of the team, I am disappointed in them, and the decisions they made.

Vikings have no positive tests, are going to return to the team facilities, so that game is looking good.

Does anyone else fear that the PIT/TEN situation could be the first of many dominoes to fall and that it could bring the whole thing down? Or do you think this is more of an isolated incident that will have minimal impact on the rest of the season?

Maybe I'm overreacting, but I've been skeptical from the beginning. It's not like the NBA where they're playing in a bubble.

No I'm not concerned. There will probably be other games moved, but the season will be completed. We just have to accept a new normal this year.

I hope you're right.

I asked the same question in the PIT/TEN thread but I'll post here as well since it might be different people seeing the thread.

What do we do with the points from games that are moved?
Are they wiped from this week, lumped into whatever week they're moved to? Just treated as an unexpected BYE week?

Agreed, i think had they played the game it could have been the first of many dominoes but they are cancelling it, which is 100 percent the right move. We knew this would happen, and we know this will happen again. The fact baseball, a sport where you play every day sometimes two times a day, made it through after their rough stretch means the NFL will make it through too. I just hope all fantasy leagues and teams prepared accordingly for all of this, depth will be more key than ever.

Correct. That was part of my COVID plan, at least, for leagues I commish.

Perhaps, and perhaps it means that the League will come down harder on teams/coaches that don't adhere to COVID prevention methods.
