I think a Tuesday night game is the best case scenario at this point. Or Wednesday. They can play Sunday and then Thursday, so still hope for a early/mid week game next week.

Completely outside the box thought--possibility the league shuts down both the Titans and Vikings this week and has the Steelers play at the Texans? I know very highly unlikely, but it's an interesting thought!

I'm thinking they use this as a bye week for the 4 teams and shuffle their later games, or this gives them a 2nd bye and they play week 18

I don't think they change anything unless absolutely necessary. They could play Tuesday or Wednesday. They will want to keep on schedule unless there is no other choice. Vikings haven't had any positive tests yet, so they definitely will want to keep that game going.

Titans and Vikings have week 7 bye, Steelers and Texans week 8, so they can shift those around to make it work then, but they won't do that if they don't have to shut down a game IMO. They can work things around, change a Thursday game down the line or something perhaps. However, if they can play this Tuesday or Wedenesday next week, I think they will, to keep things on track. Teams play Sunday and then the following Thursday, so they can play as late as Wednesday night, and then play Sunday, if they move it to Sunday night, I think. Tuesday they could play for sure, as long as there aren't any more positive tests, of course.

Well now we'll see how good their fancy shmancy trackers are. Kind of worrying that it has occurred so shortly after a game, high probability that they were near fellow teammates and/or opponents. Will be interesting to see what players end up going on the COVID19 list.

With no opportunity for practices I wonder how they will handle having a game on Sunday even if no one else tests positive.

5 of the positive tests were from the coaching staff. If you think the NFL was too harsh on enfircing masks on the headlines before now....

They should have just handed out suspensions for coaches who remove/don't wear their mask. You can talk through a damn mask.

Probably makes the most sense. But will also compound their games next week.

This seems to me like possibly the best option in all honesty. I'd be surprised if either TEN or MIN plays this week, so that's an imperfect but still reasonable solution.

Unfortunately, The steelers just played the texans... like this past Sunday. While it may make sense from a "lets play football" standpoint. It doesn't make sense from a scheduling standpoint.

agreed, plus Houston would have a legit complaint about having the most difficult 4 game streatch of non play off games I think I have ever seen

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the league notified the Titans, Steelers, Vikings, and Texans that it may be forced to reschedule both contests for Week 4.
The league reportedly told the Steelers to proceed with game preparations against the Titans, which were forced to shut down its facilities until Saturday following eight new positive tests among the organization. Minnesota's facitilites, which provided 0 positive tests as of Tuesday afternoon, were also evacuated until further notice. The NFL is still discussing plans for postponement which include pushing both games to Monday/Tuesday night or rescheduling bye weeks to assist with games in Weeks 7 and 8. All ideas are on the table.
Well the good news is that the Vikings have 0 positive tests so far. We may have a couple teams on bye this week or some Tuesday night games :) because who doens't need more nights of football

They aren't going to have them play each other 2 weeks in a row.
