Meh, walking with a limp is fine. As long as he's walking/running it means he's playing. While we may no longer see the RB1 and overall #1 anymore I think he can certainly be a productive back. Its all about the cost of acquiring him.

His redraft ADP is 29. Still pretty steep considering the downside.

I think for redraft 29 is fine especially in a 1QB setup. Should be what, maybe 1-2 qbs taken, 1-2 tes, and the rest RB and WR? so thats about 12 RBs 12 WR if split evenly, and probably a few more RB, so he's being drafted as a high RB2 in redraft? I think thats reasonable. What his is Redraft RB#?

I hate it for him. He's too young to be having chronic knee problems. Thankfully he got paid. I kinda hope he retires soon to try and maintain his long-term health.

Gurley owner checking in to bump this thread.

Should we be concerned about Gurley? The usage (little to no receiving work + potential Ito Smith/Brian Hill vulturing), the Falcons poor run game, and just the fact that I didn't think he looked very good at all against the Cowboys. Yesterday seemed like a very ideal situation for him to have a great fantasy day, and while he did get 21 touches, he only had 6.1 points to show for it while the Falcons put up 39. Bleh.

I'm debating just cutting him loose for a 2nd wherever I can get it, but idk, maybe I'm just panicking.

Were we not already concerned? The one thing he has going for him is the volume. He's not going to be in the argument for top 5 RB anymore, but he still has value for competitors as a volume play.

I'd wait it out a bit more. 21 touches is promising, they probably would have won the game if they had just gave him the ball more at the end. He's in a pretty ideal spot and we all know he can catch the ball. To early to overreact, he's not who he was two years ago, but he could be a steady RB2 or flex on a contender for sure.

He's the same as he was last year, a TD dependent volume play. He has playing on a high scoring offense in his favor; but his reception floor fell out.

Agree. He seems to have lost that lateral ability. The lack of targets is most concerning. Without a TD, you're going to be looking at a lot of 6-8 point games.

Reaffirmed my stance on cashing out stud RBs after their rookie deals are up.

I'm all over Gurley after this week. I think he struggles against Chicago and will be super cheap everywhere, right before his cupcake schedule.
