This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Big trade offer

Postby EC1417 » Fri Sep 04, 2020 11:23 am

Team 1 in Sig.

I was just offered the following trade:

Receive:

Dalvin Cook
Alexander Mattison
2021 4th

Trade away:

Antonio Gibson
AJ Brown

Took over orphaned team this offseason and blew it up/started a rebuild.

I know that Dalvin Cook is highly ranked, but I’m nervous about him. Either his contract or injury. What do y’all think?

I feel AJ Brown is the best value in dynasty inside that deal. When starting a rebuild or taking over a team I would build around WR and then RB. Value wise it is a good deal, situation I would have taken the other side

I love Dalvin, and getting Mattison addresses some of the red flags, but I think you are giving up the best rebuild piece in this trade.

Too me it all comes down to your thoughts on Gibson. If you feel he will be a top rb then I'd pass. If you think he is going to be a complete flop then I"m taking the Cook side. Also if Cook walks as a FA then you could potentially land 2 starting rb's through the deal.

I would rather build around Brown than an often injured RB. The value is close, but go wr here for your rebuild.

Cook side in a win now, but AJB side in a rebuild for me.

Dalvin Cook was so much higher on my start up board than AJ Brown. Having his hand cough (who's also a quality prospect) alleviate so much of his injury concerns. I expected it to be Cook easy.

If you're in a true rebuild that's a much harder pill to swallow. Looking at your roster though I don't see why you think you're a rebuilding team. I'm not saying that you're the favorite, but you have a lot of talent on that roster.

Agree with this part, and that Cook is higher on most startup draft boards. Having said that, I feel you have more talent at RB than WR. I would stand pat.
