Fournette - what to do with him

Doubt it's either of them. It'll be a rookie or if they miss on who they want in the draft they'll bring in a FA like Freeman or maybe they'll bring Hyde back for a year. Something like that. But I'll assume it's still Fournette as I don't think they'll find their buyer. There will be some informal apology of sorts to Minshew and they'll move on but not extend him.

Agree. Just don't think Fournette will warrant a 10 million dollar 5th year option and/or big contract. He is probably viewed by the league as closer to Gordon than Zeke. He has never played 16 games in a season. His YPC this past season finally went above 4 so that should help him some.

Expect him to stay put this year and walk or get tagged next. I do keep thinking he would look good in a Seahawks uni though.

Are you not counting 2019 where he played every game and finished as the RB6? Am I in the the wrong universe?

He was out week 17 with a neck injury.

Have to think Jax brings someone else in and fournette gets a prove it deal somewhere. Maybe somewhere like Washington or Denver. Though I guess it will depend why he was released.

Tanking for Trevor. Really messes up the team, without actually "tanking", per se. They are gutting this team and planning to get picks, including the first overall, to rebuild. They see a generational type QB, and they are going for it, IMO. The last 2 days was a huge shot at Minshew's long term outlook.

Tanking in the NFL... I think I've seen this before and it almost never works out. I think it was the Bengals a few years ago who came out of no where to lose their first 11 games or something? Nobody saw that coming.

I don't know who's running the show in Jacksonville, but I have to question the decision making. I wonder what the Jaguars subreddit is saying. BRB.

I mean it could also be a case of a disgruntled player causing problems in the locker room and mouthing his way out of town. Surprising that if that was the case Jax didn't get a trade for him done but he said no trade without a new deal or something like that
