Let’s talk... David Montgomery

Devonta Freeman time? With the GM and coach, having their jobs on the line this year, he'd be a good add.

While a huge Bears fan, I would love to see Freeman, but AS a huge Bears fan, I know better than that. The name it is more likely to be is Spencer Ware.

My Chubb and Hunt shares would hope they trade for Hunt, realistically they'll probs just bring in Freeman.

If the injury isn't that severe, I think they'll run with Nall until Dmont is healthy. He's big enough to be a two down thumper (if that's all they want from him), he was actually decent in college, and looked solid in preseason last yr.
Here's some clips since most don't seem to know much about him:

Preseason week 3 Bears V Colts (Nall starts at the 4:30 mark)

Quotes from Training Camp 2020
On pass blocking:
"Patterson was destroyed on a few plays and Pierce was completely trampled on one play. Nall probably has the pass-blocking ability to stay in the lineup"
General quote
"There has been some talk about Ryan Nall and his emergence as well. Ryan Pace brought up Nall early when talking about the depth and possible contributors. Beyond that, Nagy has noted that he is loving what he is seeing out of Nall so far this offseason.Nall has played a role on special teams and has the versatility to catch, block, and run as well."
From RB Coach London
"We're very, we're very high on Ryan Nall and what he can do for us"
I don't think he'll be a world beater, but he sounds and looks like a decent enough contributor if given a chance, and best of all...he's likely just sitting on the waiver wire right now. He's definitely worth a stash until there's some more clarity on the situation.

Trubisky has rushing upside, just saying........He's built to carry a decent load. Could even pitch it to him on an occasional sweep and he could throw it.......or maybe just stick to running it, actually.
