This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

DJ Moore v Jonathan Taylor

Postby tackling dummies » Tue Aug 25, 2020 1:13 pm

16 team PPR, 1 QB
Total Starters: 9
Number of Starting QBs: 1
Number of Starting RBs: 2-3
Number of Starting WRs: 2-3
Number of Starting TEs: 1-2
Number of Starting PKs: 1
Number of Starting Defs: 1

Expansion draft, I can pick either Jonathan Taylor or DJ Moore and I'm up after the team in front of me. Kept Jacobs from the previous owner. Keep forever

Thanks in advance!

I'll go with Taylor since it's a 16 team and it'll become increasingly difficult to lock up high-end starting RBs
(Both during the draft, and going forward)

More WR value can be found in the middle rounds
Team 1:
12-team | PPR | SuperFlex | 0.5-TEP
Start: 1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/3FLX/1SF
QB: Herbert, Kyler, Baker, Jimmy G, Mariota, DTR
RB: Taylor, Saquon, Javonte, Conner, C.Evans, TDP
WR: Chase, Diggs, Olave, Aiyuk, Hollywood, MT, Shaheed
TE: Engram, Woods, Kraft
'24 picks: 1.08, 3.05

Team 2:
12-Team | PPR | SuperFlex | 0.5-TEP
(Start: QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/3FLX/1SF)
QB: Mahomes, Allen, Russ
RB: Breece, JT, Swift, Javonte, Mostert
WR: Chase, Kupp, Aiyuk, Nico, Hollywood, Kirk, MT
TE: Pitts, Njoku, Woods
'24 picks: none

Team 3:
12tm PPR SuperFlex
QB: Hurts, Dak, Stafford, Z.Wilson, DTR
RB: Saquon, Swift, Achane, Kamara, Ford
WR: Jefferson, AJB, ARSB, Nico, Diontae, OBJ
TE: Goedert, Njoku, Fant, Woods
'24 picks: 4th, 4th

proven talent over rookie, DJ looked the part so I would take him but value wise they are pretty even

Without knowing the rest of your team, etc, I think this is the right play. Locks up 2 good RBs.

I love me some DJ Moore, but agree with others, the value of an RB1 is hard to replace, DJ Moore's production while promising especially at his age, is very replaceable with cheaper options

Piling on, gamble on the RB1 based on the number of teams.

Thanks for the feedback. We're past the 3 round expansion, my roster is Jacobs, JT + Metcalf. Moore was picked before Taylor and the Moore owner is proposing a trade as soon as I picked Taylor. The price went up and I'm not anxious to deal Taylor. Draft starts Wed PM.

Jacobs + JT is a nice foundation to build on.
