I always tend to be skeptical of these things early projections from coaches/GM's I remember with AJG last year, the prognosis was good, and kept getting worse. It's certainly good to hear he's doing well, but I also wouldn't bat an eye if he missed a month. These types of injuries are tough to predict, and there is always risk of re-injury if he returns too early.

i really hope they don't rush him back, that could easily turn into a completely wasted season.

They also signed three vet receivers, which doesn’t suggest a huge amount of confidence in him being ready.

they aren't rushing him...he's rushing himself back. And if he continues to progress then they will probably play him. But he will need to practice for a week. In about 2 weeks i think we will get another update.

They/Him... it's semantics. Whether he comes back week 1 or week 5 shouldn't matter for dynasty teams. Injuring the same foot again would be bad for his value so if I owned him, I'd rather them (or him) be on the safe side

if he doesnt return until week 5 then that means something went wrong because he's already sprinting/cutting. . If he returns week 2 then everything healed according to the plan the doctors have in place.

High re-injury risk associated. I imagine they play it safe with him.

He'll have to work to regain his natural gait. You can see it isn't there yet in his sprinting videos.

Intriguing sight in today's practice: Deebo Samuel (foot) sprinting -- hard -- on a side field. He had his most intense workout thus far with change-of-direction exercises, etc. He's pushing to be ready on Sept. 13.
