Start up 1.01, unquestionable
He's going 1.05 in Mizelle's ADP data for August, going as high as 1.03.

This is ridiculous.

He's going as high as Zeke did as a rookie while not being in the same vicinity as a talent.

Situation absolutely bloated the hell out of his stock.

And Zeke's adp was also incredibly spot dependent. Zeke as a better talent was a mid 2nd from what I remember, the Dallas landing shot him up bc everyone was salivating from his talent running behind the OL that just made DMC and Demarco 1,000 yard rushers for years

Not the first time the top rookie RB was an early startup pick. Zeke and Saquon (the recent ones) were overall more talented, but CEH is in a potential goldmine of a situation. I wouldn't pay the 1.03-1.05 in a startup myself, but I get it.

There will be the "this is ridiculous, he hasn't even played a snap" crowd and the "I know it's expensive, but I think he'll be worth even more next offseason" crowd. Everyone pick your sides and then we can come back later and see how we all did.

I can see him going really high given his QB and situation. They love to throw the ball and he can really catch it; Not to mention he is a really good runner that will rarely if ever face 8 in the box outside the 5 yard line.

Certainly a bold move. I wouldn't pick him that high but late 1st early 2nd will be commonplace IMO.

Zeke was also a top 4 pick and nobody scoffed at the idea when he was drafted there. As college prospects, Zeke and Barkley were on another level to Clyde. He's being elevated more by situation than anyone I can remember, and I drafted him, but he's not the same prospect the other 2 were.

Barkley and Zeke would have been large volume workhorses wherever they went, but there is a lot more riding on the landing spot working for Clyde. There is more risk than the other two at that ADP.

Zeke was not boosted that much by Dallas. He was either the 1.01 or 1.02 in that class pre-draft, depending on how you felt about Laquon Treadwell. He was a Top 4 draft pick and an elite RB talent. His rise afterwards was because of situation, but Zeke still would've been really high regardless.

There was nobody pre-draft calling CEH an elite RB talent and he was frequently mocked in the mid to late 1st in mocks before the draft. I really can't think of any rookie who was boosted this much by situation in recent memory. I like CEH and think he's a solid player, but people are treating him like he's Saquon Barkley at this point.

Hype is out of control. I wish DWill was still around so I could invest there.

I have no idea which of the other running backs are worth a stab. Maybe Washington

After the combine he was pretty much consensus 1.01, if I recall. He ran a 4.46 at 225 pounds, and Treadwell was a complete athletic dud.

Again, as somebody who is invested in CEH with the 1.02 in a few SF leagues, I think that's a fine price. Top 3-5 in startups, compared to Barkley and Zeke as rookies, there is waaaaaaay more risk, because so much of it is about his situation. He is not the same level of prospect, there is zero argument for that. So it becomes a heavy investment on his skill set meshing with the situation, and there is just more risk to that. Barkley on any team would be a top 5 startup pick, and rightfully so. Can't say the same about Clyde, not even close.

Was treadwell really in the discussion that year? I didn’t surf fantasy sites, forums, what have you. Just was in a handful of leagues, and Zeke was a no brainer, 100%. It’s easy to say now, but I legit remember it that way.

Elite prospect, elite landing spot, instant 1.01.
main league, half PPR, all TDs 6, -3 for INT
12 team. 2019 champ, 2020 runner up, ‘21 3rd
start 2SF, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2WRT

QB: T Lawrence, K Cousins, R Wilson, Z Wilson
RB: K Walker, T Ettiene, JK Dobbins, D Gore, J Hasty, D Johnson, L Rountree
WR: JJ, AJB, A Cooper, Juju, C Kirk, J Dotson, N Westbrook-Ikhine, I McKenzie
TE. T Kelce, Pitts, Albert O, D Parham, J O’Shaunessy

Until around the combine, but once Zeke ended up in Dallas he was the runaway #1 pick just like Barkley in '18. Barkley just had that spot locked down for over a year.

I remember it being hat Zeke was phenomenal and will be the 1.01 but it would be insanely awesome if Dallas drafted him. Then Dallas drafted him.

This year it was more like CEH was fourth, fifth or sixth in a deep RB class (nowhere near the high end Zeke talent imo) and it would be insanely awesome if KC drafted any one of them, especially Dobbins or Swift. Then KC drafted CEH...choo choo. Then Williams opted out and CEH became better than Joe Mixon.

On some boards CEH became better than anyone but Barkley and cmc.
Mizelle adp has him at 5 going at 3 in one draft. Utterly insane to me

it didn't hurt that Derrick Henry wound up behind Demarco Murray, the #3 drafted RB was a scatback with 77 senior year carries, the #4 RB was Tyler Ervin and WR was seen as very deep.

Once Zeke went to the Cowboys at 4th overall it didn't matter where Henry ended up or how strong the rest of the RB class was, Zeke was far and away the #1 pick that year and went on to be the most valuable asset in fantasy football over the last 4 years.
