Just missing a true WR1 and loaded with picks in the draft. 1.01 and 1.02 will be JT and CEH unless I trade them. I sent an offer of

Give: 1.06 + Keenan Allen
Get: Tyreek Hill + 2.10
*both of our teams are the two strongest in the league but his is older than mine and he only has 2 late seconds this year.

The owner did not reject the trade but he did counter it. The counter was:

Give: 1.06, 2.06, KA, and Kerryon Johnson
Get: Hill, Paul Richardson, 2.10

I think this is because at 1.06, Swift will probably be available so he wants KJ, which I view as nothing better than a handcuff if healthy.

So three questions: do I reject and leave my old one out there? do I accept his trade? or do I counter and take out Paul Richardson and 2.06 Which would mean 1.06, KJ and KA for Hill and 2.10.

I really want Hill because I believe he will make my team a true contender so I don't want to get tunnel vision but it doesn't seem like I am giving up that much.

I would easily accept his counter offer. It isn't worth it to potentially lose the deal over smaller pieces.

That is kind of what I was thinking. It seems like Hill's value should be higher and giving up KJ and a second to secure him isn't too much.

I feel like the counter was a fair value offer, or at least closer to fair than what you initially offered (just in the other direction). I'd accept it unless you know for sure he'd knock out richardson and the 2.06

I'd just try dropping the request for his 2nd rd. pick and see if KA + !st for Tyreek is enough.

Just take the counter. It's a win for you already, and getting greedy is far more likely to bite you in the a** than it is to help you.
