Let's see how many in their rookie contract (mixon, cook, kamara) use that to improve their bargaining position in the next week.
Not sure if they will have much success, (or get the $ they really hope for) I've read that the owners and players association know the cap will be much lower over the next couple of seasons. As gate revenue will be 10% or less of what it was expected to be (as many stadiums are not allowing fans). Going to be hard to give someone 15 mill, when the cap maybe down to 100 million in 3 years.

How could they use it to improve their bargaining? The contract tolling means that it basically freezes and then would resume in the '21-'22 season. So if Kamara, Mixon or Cook opt-out they won't become free agents this offseason, they will just receive $150/$350K (whichever they qualify for), and then receive the final year of their contract next year. So opting out would put them an extra year away from free agency, and would make them a year older when they get there, and we all now how big a deal age is for RB value.

Maybe I'm incorrect, but fairly certain tolling means that it does advance a year.
No it means it's put on hold. The only benefit they get is the High Risk Opt-outs ($350 thousand payouts) get a credited year towards retirement/pension, the Voluntary Opt-outs($150 thousand) do not.

Right now covid is on pace to be the #3 cause of death this year in the states. Behind heart diseases and cancer. I don't get the not wearing a mask thing. No shoes, no shirt no service is ok. And yes you do have the right not to wear a mask, and to take your business elsewhere if you dont want to wear a mask in that store. but I have the right to work in a safe environment and the owner of the store has the right to ask you not to enter if you dont wear a mask. So wear a mask, so we can get back to things we love, rather then this b.s.

And the NFL thinks they can pull this off with larger rosters and personnel.

Just cancel the season.

Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez is dealing with myocarditis after contracting COVID. It’s a reminder that this virus isn’t a binary thing where you either die or are 100% fine, as the people trying to downplay its seriousness would suggest.

David price just had a great tweet:

"Now we REALLY get to see if MLB is going to put players health first. Remember when Manfred said players health was PARAMOUNT?! Part of the reason I’m at home right now is because players health wasn’t being put first. I can see that hasn’t changed."

Now we see how MLB responds

I'm amazed, hearing from several sports sites that MLB did not have a plan for this, and they are not sure how to respond
