Shenault for 2021 2nd?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Shenault for 2021 2nd?

Postby Jdawg » Mon Jul 20, 2020 8:08 am

Team 2 in signature - pick on the clock is 2.12, and Shenault, AJ Dillon, and Bryan Edwards are all still available.

Got an offer for my 2021 2nd for the pick on the clock, where I could grab 2 of the remaining guys since I have the next pick as well.

Think I should make the deal or just wait and take the best player at 3.01?

Don’t think it’s worth trading up to snag Shenault + one of the other guys?

I see now. What is the 2021 second projected? I would probably hold the random second.

Shenault would be a late 1st in most draft classes. He’s being seriously undervalued in a lot of rookie drafts. I’d make the deal and lock him up.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

🦬PRIME🦬
QB: Hurts, Howell
RB: Mixon, Jones, Sanders, Dobbins, Akers, Roschon, Dowdle, Kelley
WR: Nuk, Godwin, Cooper, Lockett, Flowers, Chark, Collins, Hollins, Tillman, Tolbert
TE: Hockenson, Chig, Trautman
Taxi: Willis, Z. White, M. Mims, T. Palmer

Hull Awaits
$450 cap, 60 contract years

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0
RB: Achane $4/4, Warren $2/4, Roschon $7/5, Dillon $4/1, Hubbard $2/1, Kelley $1/0
WR: Nuk $78/1, MT $25/1, M. Williams $1/0, JSN $21/5, Reed $4/5, Rice $4/5, M. Wilson $2/5
TE: Thomas $1/0, Hill $1/0, Parham $1/0

It's fair either way. Is your team competitive at all? Any idea where this pick will end up, mid to late? All three guys left are pretty even for me, and in a SF, this is about where they should go. Shenault is my favorite of the three, but not by much. If you think the pick will be mid to late next year, especially if it's late, then I think this is fair.

I'd probably hold the pick personally, but would have no problem with someone taking this offer.

The deal would be for team 2 in my signature. It’s year one of a startup, so teams are fairly even at this point. The 2nd is mine, and Yahoo projections put me in the top half of the league.

It’s a contract league, so rookie picks hold significant value for 5 years, and the idea of starting with a rookie core of Burrow, Jefferson, Shenault, and Dillon on cheap deals year 1 sounds nice to build around my other players.

I’d do it and take Dillon and Shenault for sure.

I'd want more than a 2nd next year for a 2nd this year, he should throw something else in on top of it.

I'd definitely snag both Dillon and Shenault. With the covid questions surrounding this years college football season, next years picks could be even more of a dart throw than they normally are.

Combine that with the fact that you're rarely ever going to have a class so deep that you can snag a round 2 RB and Round 2 WR with these two picks makes the current pick more valuable than next years. Take advantage of the deep class.

Wide outs and RBs with real life round 2 draft capital are almost always 1st round rookie draft picks.

I'd do it and take him and Edwards (or Dillon if you prefer). Solid deal.
