Who is the RB2 in Atlanta?

Postby TheBelgian » Mon Jul 13, 2020 6:55 pm

Who has the advantage at the RB2 spot behind Gurley?
Looked at statistics from last year and there were about 120 carries for the Rams by players not named Todd Gurley (not including Goff).
Who gets a majority of those carries this year in Atlanta?
Players currently listed behind Gurley are:
Brian Hill
Ito Smith
Qadree Ollison
Craig Reynolds
Mikey Daniel

No one worth rostering

I guess Ollison if you have to choose but I'd rather take a shot on a bunch of other handcuffs before ATL's

Really? No one?

In 2019, it seemed like every backup RB the Rams mentioned as a possible RB2 got hyped. Now Gurley goes to Atlanta and the RB2 has no value?

Thing is we saw ATL's RB2s last season and they looked awful

Henderson got hype because he was a shiny new rookie in an offense that plays through the RB a lot.
Falcons are almost certainly going to have some of the lowest rushing volume in the league--even more so if Gurley goes down

Ollison is who I would gamble on right now.

Yeah like someone above said, the backs in LA got hype Because Henderson was a third round rookie and brown looked good in stunts. We’ve seen the falcons backs play this past year when freeman got hurt and they all sucked

Seems like Brian Hill would be the guy when Gurley is healthy, but if he goes down, I expect a committee that I’m going to want no part of.

I agree with this.

I was hoping that Ito Smith would be an easy cut for me this year, but now Gurley is there too, I feel like I have to keep him as the backup. Just in case... :(
