Is Lamar Jackson at 1.02 crazy?

Postby nowhiringhenchmen » Thu Jun 18, 2020 10:16 pm

Posted this earlier in the year but hoping for some extra opinions. Our league is transitioning to a super flex dynasty and doing a full redraft this year. 12 of us, 0.5 ppr, 6 point passing TD, 15 keepers.

I have the 2nd pick and know for a fact that #1 is going Mahomes. I’m VERY tempted to go Lamar at #2. Is this insane, or not at all?

For clarity: we won’t be doing any draft trading in the inaugural draft, so all the picks will stay as is until the draft is done, at least.

I would trade down. I don't trust Lamar enough to take him that early, but it's not crazy.

I would take Lamar at 1.02 and feel good about it in that format. I would not fault you for going CMC or Barkley either though. Kinda stinks that you can't trade around the draft board though, as you'd likely get some good offers for 1.02.

Lamar for me.
I'm not sure there is a big difference in the spread between Lamar vs everyone non Mahomes or Barkley vs everyone not CMC. But QBs are harder to come by in the future so roll with Lamar.
