Attempt to get Ridley

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I mean, I’m taking CEH, Taylor, Dobbins over him, and probably Swift. He’s in the tier with Jeudy and Lamb for me. I get people have seen Ridley get 800-900 yards, but that doesn’t sway me from what I prefer about Lamb and Jeudy as prospects. Landing spot favors Ridley, but Ridley is also 4 years older after coming out as an older prospect.

Overall I view them about even and can see people on both sides. Add in if they like Akers, and suddenly you have more flexibility and the extra 3rd to play with. It isn’t one sided either way IMO. Those who feel it is are viewing Ridley as more than I do.

I would not accept that for Ridley.

It's a perfectly fine offer, counter worthy at the least

Offer is fine, I prefer the pick, Ridley is over rated IMO, been injured both years, and a complimentary WR. He's a solid player, but the passing volume in Atlanta is essential to his success.

I had Ridley and sold for 1.07 in a SF. Desperately need Rb help and Wrs are easy to replace in my format. Plan to draft Akers/Swift and hope they hit. It's a Gamble, but I likey odds.

How does this sound as an opening offer:

Give: 1.6 and 3.4
Get: Ridley
I mean I would pay that for Ridley he is going to put up close to WR1 numbers this year , still young and should take over for Julio in a couple years , Then he will be a top 5 WR

2 days ago I just paid my 2021 1st and 2nd for him on team 5

I'm a big fan of Ridley and just last week gave up my 2021 1st and 2022 2nd for Ridley and a 2022 3rd, so if the Ridley owner will take the first and third I would send it ASAP. Ridley will be huge this year.

Define ‘solid’ and ‘stud’ in this context.

I’m on the side of FF here. Ridley is not an elite / stud fantasy WR, and his outlook is driven by his projected volume. I don’t think he reaches the peak some are hoping for. He certainly hasn’t thus far. 25 isn’t old, but he isn’t a young prospect. 2020 is an unknown too, not helping things.

I agree Ridley is a stud and will have success this year. I also think it's weird to blame a WR for the volume he gets.. typically that is exactly what you look for in an offense for your fantasy WRs. Opportunity + Talent = Success. You could argue volume is "essential" to any WRs success. No one is going to be a WR1 on 50 targets so you want your guy in an offense that throws a lot, but even still his volume is not "essential" to his success as you (FantasyFreak) are suggesting. in 2018 (his rookie year) Ridley literally led the entire NFL in separation at the time of target with an average separation of 1.84 yards. in 2019 he averaged 2.9 yards of separation at the catch which is also no small feat. And to show the amount of respect DBs have for his deep ball ability- Ridley had an average cushion of 7.4 yards at the snap this year which again- led the entire league. He's a great player and is very capable of producing by himself.

Couple of things I thought were worth noting. Someone mentioned Ridley is "older" which he is, but he is 25 1/2. I tend to look at dynasty in 3-5 year windows. If you are projecting out for 7-10 years I think you are making a mistake. In 5 years he will be 30.

Something else...as a rookie he was WR21 in ppr. In ppg played last year he was WR19 and a top 10 WR after Sanu was traded and before his injury. There is a ton of upside there and he has already proved he is at least a solid WR2.
