Owner coming for DJ Moore

A guy in my league has come to me saying he's willing to pay anything to acquire DJM, said he's willing to do whatever it takes to get it done. (I remain skeptical)

I do not want to move DJM, I love him as a player/asset; however, I'm open to listening to a potential crazy "overpay" offer. My team is in my sig. What should I seek in return that won't hurt my chances to compete for the 'ship this year?

Here are this guy's best assets that I'd be interested in:

• C Ridley

• K Drake

• D Swift

• J Herbert

• Two 2021 2nds

Would you accept Ridley + Swift or Ridley + Drake for DJM? Any other ideas?

I would probably do either of those trades you suggested for DJM. Swift more long term, Drake more win now

Ridley + Swift was the first trade that jumped into my mind. I think you can afford to lose DJM as you have sutton, hardman, and slayton on your bench. I'm less interested in Drake, but he very well may put up better numbers than Swift this year.

Between Ridley and DJ Moore, they scored a difference of .1 PPG. Obviously people like Moore better because he does this as a WR1 on the team while Ridley does it as a WR2 behind Julio. A lot of people do not think Ridley can be the guy in Atlanta so it comes down to if you think he can. In the one game he has played while Julio is out (obviously small sample size) against NO, Ridley went 8 catches on 10 targets for 91 yards plus drew 2 PI calls. This was split between playing against Lattimore and Apple. I think Ridley is the real deal and will thrive even after Julio stops dominating (if that ever happens). So getting Swift on top makes me accept that deal if it is on the table.

piling on here- I would definitely take Ridley and Swift. I'm a big fan of Ridley breaking out even more this year and I don't think the difference between DJ Moore and Ridley will be much at all- Ridley may even come out on top with how much the Falcons throw the ball. You're basically getting Swift for free after swapping Ridley and Moore.

I like the Ridley and Swift trade for you. Ridley probably isn’t too far off from DJM honestly, and Swift should become the lead guy in DET soon.

I think you should have him make the first offer. If he's admitting it's going to take an overpay and wants him desperately, maybe his first offer is much greater than whatever you and others are suggesting. If it's not, then you counter with the suggestions.

I definitely agree. I asked him to send me his idea or offer, I suspect it'll be well below what I consider to be great value so I was just thinking ahead on what I could counter. I'm strongly considering Moore/Cohen for Swift/Ridley if his offer is anything better than laughable

When I hear something like this from another owner I have no interest in making a fair trade with my first offer.

Ask for Swift, Ridley and both 2nds at a bare minimum in your initial offer. If he doesn't go for that then scale back your ask a bit, but aim high out of the gate in this situation.

I would simply say shoot me your best offer and we'll talk. Ridley/Swift and a couple picks is a good start if you wanna say "here is the price for a player I want to keep" trade. Let him beat you down to Ridley/Swift and any pick at all I think is golden.

He wants DJM then tell him to make you a offer. Know what your base acceptance level is, maybe he offers more than great, if not counter. If he declines then move along.
