Quick explanation of scoring

Hey I'm fairly new to idp and could someone give me a brief breakdown of this scoring and suggestions on how to value the positions in relation to offense as well. Link to league scoring:

Pretty solid scoring system. Your top D players at DE, LB, and S are about equivalent to low end WR1s. Take a look at the top performers tables by position to get a feel for the scoring/depth in comparing positions. I always use ppg when I do this.
