Worst Rostered Player

Simple question that I’m genuinely curious about. Who is the worst guy on your roster (in your opinion) and why haven’t you replaced him with someone on waivers. If you haven’t drafted yet, and the guy is just filler until you replace him with a pick, move up to the guy you plan to keep or explain why you had him last year.

For me, on my main team, it’s Marcus Mariota. I picked him up expecting him to be healthy and get back to where he once was. Instead he got rolled by Ryan Tannehill and is now the backup to Derek Carr. The reason I roster him is that I still believe a bit. I think he may have not been fully recovered last year, but tried to pull through seeing the writing on the wall when they brought in Tannehill. I think some time on the bench will be good for him to get his mind right and I don’t see Carr as insurmountable. This league is also a 16 team IDP league where most of the teams just punt defensive backups in order to stock more QBs, RBs & WRs, so every starter is rostered and so are most backups worth anything.

On my secondary team (only have two), it’s probably Vyncint Smith. His metrics are elite level metrics, but he came from some college I had never even heard of. I keep him rostered because he actually got some work last year and while he didn’t do much with it, he’s still on an upward trajectory and only 24 years old. I also don’t see the trio of Mims, Perriman, Crowder as an insurmountable competition. Would like to give him another year, but it’ll be hard to do post draft.

Ignoring rookies and 2nd year players cuz the jury still out on them, probably Damiere Byrd. hopeful for a late career breakout. pats fan so thats definitely what made me pick him up. Could be off my team by the time the season starts but as of now i plan on giving him a shot

Most of my leagues are pretty deep and 16+ teams. The guy I find myself finally letting go of to roster rookies is Moncrief. Crazy that he's still only 26 too.

16 teams x 26 spots. Trey Burton...just picked him up for $1 because I had an open spot and TE is my thinnest position. He'll be the first to go when we cut down to 22 but I may a well hold him till then.

Mine might actually be Sony Michel, though I would probably lean Chase Edmonds over him

Team 1 in sig... very young. I have a lot of 2nd year guys and rookies. If I included 2nd year guys likely to make my roster cut down my worst would be Henderson... maybe Warring but he might be cut. Not ready to give up on Isabella or JJAW yet
