Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
Not that surprising. Akers went ahead of Dobbins in the NFL draft. Rams had their choice. Seems a lot of the reason Dobbins lasted until ten in the above poster had quite a few picks in there, and was taking WR's because he was purposely avoiding RB's.

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
He was still the 5th RB taken, no matter who I took with my picks. I would have taken Dobbins at 5 if I was taking RB, but I have Dobbins, Swift, Akers, Jeudy and Lamb all extremely close. I wasn't able to find a trade for 5 so I took Jeudy gambling taking him there gave me the best chance of landing both him and Lamb, which it turns out it was.

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
Will anyone judge me for taking him over JT at 1.02?

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
No. I wouldn't do it myself, but they're all pretty close, take your guy.
Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
If someone uses their pick to get their guy and they are happy with the choice, I would never judge.
Out loud, anyway.
I also have Dobbins > JT. Dobbins has the higher floor, JT the higher ceiling. Both have elite capabilities, so I prefer Dobbins.

I have Dobbins as RB1 in this class, so I think it's a great call.

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
I have JT as 1.01 and I think this is fine.
I would not be surprised if Dobbins is the best player in this class; he's just risky because we don't know what his receiving workload will be in Baltimore and he didn't work out. He was comprehensively better than CEH in college, and his landing spot isn't considerably worse than Helaire's, so if CEH can go 1.01, Dobbins should be able to go there as well.

Nope. I started the Dobbins 1.01 thread, so I sure won't.

Talent wise I have both JK and JT over CEH. I wouldn't even blame anyone for not going CEH in the top 2.

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
Not sure about your leagues... but it’s been really tough trading down this year.
Trading out is incredibly easy, but there’s been next to no movement in-between tiers with guys gunning for “their guy” in my leagues.
Probably has to do with the quality of depth in this class

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
Yes. Plus this class lacks that clear elite prospect. There is no Saquon, or Zeke etc. There are a lot of guys who make up a top tier of RB's and even the top few WR's aren't really clearly miles above the tier of WR's just after them.IZigUZag wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 8:13 pm Not sure about your leagues... but it’s been really tough trading down this year.

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?
In order for you to be able to trade down, while still remaining high enough to get Dobbins or another top pick, someone else needs to move up. People aren't really looking to make small moves up at the top of the draft this year, it's just people on the outside who are trying to get in, and if you trade with them then you are also trading away your opportunity at CEH, JT, Dobbins or whoever your top target is. Trading down is not the simple solution it appears at first glance.
