How make a serious offer for CMC?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

How make a serious offer for CMC?

Postby MFundercover » Mon May 18, 2020 1:32 am

I'm bored and playing with trade calculators. The CMC owner in my league has some good players but a few holes in his starting lineup, so I could see a possible opening for a trade. I dont want to low ball him, or overpay either. Calculators actually have this trade in his favor.

Give: Hopkins, A Jones, 2021 1st

Get: CMC, Chark

Team in sig.

Personally I have the CMC side ahead here, primarily due to Jones. It's not a low-ball or overpay. But if he has many holes i dont see how this trade helps him. It lets him fix one hole next year, while possibly gaining another hole if Jones can't find a good landing spot

Take out Chark....then you have a serious offer. Maybe a bit of an overpay. But that current offer would not get a counter with my opinion of Jones right Meow.

I wouldn't do that. I think Jones lands a starting job somewhere next year (Miami or Jacksonville?). So I still place his value as a borderline rb1/2 for dynasty, which is still a valuable piece. But I know some see it differently.

How did you build such a stacked team? Even for a 10 team league you are loaded. Was it through drafts or trading mostly? I see dynasty teams like yours posted several years in. I'm in our first offseason and have the consensus best team, but I want to have a super team like you by 2022-2023.

Your team is in solid shape overall, and I would not overpay a ton to get CMC. The current offer is light due to Chark being included. Again, I dont think you need to add CMC here. If you are stuck on CMC, take Chark out and see if that offer is close.

He has no reason to want Jones. As I said before if he has so many holes he's likely rebuilding. You don't build around rbs going onto their second contract. Either replace Jones with a young wr/rb or offer more. Especially since you are asking for chark.

Just solid? Fantasypros has me at 100/100 and best in the league. Led the league in points and all play win % in our first season last year. What can I do to improve going forward?

Then drop Chark. Nuk, Jones, and the first may be enough to get CMC.

That seems to be what people are valuing him at. I dont think it's unfair, but I probably wouldn't give all of that up without Chark being included. I may be higher on Jones than some. I wont sell him for less than low rb1 value.

It takes time. But I do sell my stud players at close to peak value. For example...this year, I sold Chubb for the 1.1 and M.Brown. drafted CEH at 1.1 and traded brown for the 2.1 and drafted Lamb. I also take A LOT of advise from this board ( thanks Goddard, Gator, and Ditka ), and a little luck!

Side note, i do lose a lot of trades too, but I trade a lot.

Chark > AJones for me. Your 1.11 or 1.12 2021 first doesn’t excite me much if I was the owner of CMC. So as others said try DHop, Jones and your 2021 first for CMC or just Miles Sanders and DHop. I’d take Miles and DHop for my CMC share.
