They’re not worth any price though. If Tua has a similar career to Burrow then this would be a massive loss. It doesn’t matter how good Burrow is, it matters how much better than Tua he is.bjd5211 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 12:40 pmBy "panning out" I mean he goes on to be the no doubt franchise caliber QB many envision him to be. Those guys are worth any price you could pay and more than make up for what you gave up in 2 years of draft picks.OhCruelestRanter wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 12:14 pmBut he has to do more than just “pan out” in this scenario- he has to be better than Tua by the value of 1.05! That’s a top OT. I like Burrow, but that’s a lot to live up to.
I’d take 1.03 and 1.05 for Burrow even if I didn’t like Tua- at that point you could just sign Cam or Winston and use the picks on an OT and Okudah or Simmons, or trade back and rack up even more value.
Getting 3 and 5 for Burrow would be crazy value.
I think it’s a smoke screen. If Miami did trade up to 3 without giving up 5, I think they just take Tua and a LT, which would be a huge boon for the franchise.
