bjd5211 wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2020 10:14 am If he pans out, yes he's worth it. Just the reality of the QB position.
But he has to do more than just “pan out” in this scenario- he has to be better than Tua by the value of 1.05! That’s a top OT. I like Burrow, but that’s a lot to live up to.

I’d take 1.03 and 1.05 for Burrow even if I didn’t like Tua- at that point you could just sign Cam or Winston and use the picks on an OT and Okudah or Simmons, or trade back and rack up even more value.

Getting 3 and 5 for Burrow would be crazy value.
By "panning out" I mean he goes on to be the no doubt franchise caliber QB many envision him to be. Those guys are worth any price you could pay and more than make up for what you gave up in 2 years of draft picks.
They’re not worth any price though. If Tua has a similar career to Burrow then this would be a massive loss. It doesn’t matter how good Burrow is, it matters how much better than Tua he is.

I think it’s a smoke screen. If Miami did trade up to 3 without giving up 5, I think they just take Tua and a LT, which would be a huge boon for the franchise.

Got this feeling like CEH is the next CMC and I'm not in position to get him. Can't wait to see where he lands.

Probably fun to think about but they are locked in on Burrow and have zero interest in moving off that pick.

They have to think Burrow is going to be great and will lead them out of darkness.
He may be the last hope for the team remaining in Cincinnati honestly. Their stadium deal is up in 2026. No way they get another owner-friendly one via the taxpayers again unless things change.

That's a really good point. I just checked their attendance history. It is a pretty sad state.

Things I'm looking for today;

When and where will Tua go.

Ditto for Herbert.

Jeudy/Ceedee/Riggs go where.

Will a RB go top 32?

What other WRs go top 32, if any.

Is Jordan Love going top 32?

Where would they move though? NFL fanbase territories across the country are much more established that MLB/NBA/NHL ones IMO, and I can't see Mike Brown being ambitious enough to push for London or Mexico City. Any truly unaffiliated markets in the US? Can't see St. Louis pushing for an NFL team ever again

Haha all good, I was just joking around, no way I could avoid the forum on draft day. It's got the making of an exciting draft with it all online and the pack of team visits etc, I think it's going to be great.
