Raiders and Ngakoue in the works. Raiders offering 19, Jags want 12, according to Walter Football.

After all the AB drama last year they really gonna trade for Ngakoue with the twitter drama he stirred up with Tony Khan?

He is absolutely not worth trading a 1st for and then signing to a big contract. Should have just kept Mack..

Nah, Yannick is half the price in picks and will cost less in salary, but I don't want this to happen, I'd rather them build through the draft. He has issues with Jax management, but most of their star players have. Also hear Gruden wants Ruggs, and Mayock wants Lamb. As a Raiders fan I want neither. LOL. Who knows, it's the height of misinformation right now. They clearly want that to be known, probably to keep people guessing on their targets.

Ngakoue is not going to cost much less than Mack, but is not going to be close to as good. It's an absolutely terrible move if it happens.

Mack had the same amount of sacks last year. He'd cost 1 first compared to 2, and would be cheaper. That's less than half the value. It would not be an absolutely terrible move. Mayock has made a lot more good decisions than bad to this point, so if he feels it a value, I'm OK with it, even though I don't necessarily want it, he knows a lot more than I. They have Mahomes in the division, they need as much pass rush as they can get. Raiders just adde Nassib, too. If they stack up their DL I'm OK with it, personally. Yannick is definitely worth a mid/late first IMO.

I would also add they should get a deal done before making the trade. No state tax i Vegas, so they may be able to get him for a little cheaper than other teams on a contract.

Ngakoue had those sacks on the same D as Calais Campbell and the the edge rusher the Raiders should have taken (Josh Allen) instead of Ferrell last year. On the Raiders he would be the focal point of the defense and the primary focus of opposing offensive lines, like Mack has been his entire career. Same number of sacks does not remotely equate to being an equal player, Mack is probably the 2nd best defensive player in the league, Yannick isn't top 20. Yet he'll end up getting a contract similar to the one that Buckner just got, which isn't much less than Mack. Yannick is not worth trading a 1 for AND THEN signing to one of the biggest contracts in the league.

Ngakoue just turned 25, Mack is now 29. 4 years is a major deal. Signing Mack before the Raiders were ready to compete would have been a waste. I like Allen, but Ferrell is a really instinctive player, great against the run, and shuts a lot of plays down. Only had 4.5 sacks, but was asked to play all 4 position on the line as a rookie, and lost 15 pounds mid season with a virus. He's a good player. Allen is a pure speed rusher. You're entitled to your opinion, but if Mayock does make the move, he disagrees with your assessment, which I rate higher than yours (not meaning offense). It hasn't happened yet, so we're just speculating.

it's not mack vs ngakoue. it's mack vs all the players the raiders got from the draft picks they acquired for him.

So, Ngakoue (25) and Jacobs (22) for Mack (29), if it happened, basically. I'd take that all day as a Raiders fan. They weren't ready to compete when Mack wanted a deal, that's why I included the age in brackets. They are a playoff contender this year, so that would be a win for me.
