Phillip Lindsay Value

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Phillip Lindsay Value

Postby dvpkwys » Mon Apr 20, 2020 3:53 pm

Looking to move Phillip Lindsay. He was fun for a few years, and I think he will still be used but he is obviously capped with Gordon now. What is fair value? 2nd? 3rd? I m getting 3rd round offers.

thanks!

To state the obvious, the window to maximize his value closed when Denver signed Gordon. If I could get any 2nd I’d do it. I’d hold off on selling him for a 3rd for now, unless there’s someone you like OTC.

Take a 2nd if you can get it or try to use him plus one of your picks to move up. As stated already, his window of max value closed unfortunately.

Any 2nd for Lindsay would be good value at this point.

I think Lindsay owners are better off holding right now. I still expect Lindsay to carve out ~35 - 40% of the touches in that backfield, and I think Denver's offense can surprise a lot of people this year.

Gordon also doesn't have the cleanest record of injuries, so Lindsay would be 1 sprained ankle away from a significant increase in his value mid-season.

I wouldn't trade a second for him. TBH I always liked Freeman more than him even with the disparity in production or snap share. I have the 3.09 and I guess I'd offer that but Gordon shoots down his value. He was a sell high after his rookie year. He's undersized, has a decent 40 time but has an uninspiring athletic profile outside of that, and was never going to be a big time RB1 long term
