Update: Lockett+ for 1.06+

I’ve been shooting around ideas to this one guy in the league. I’ve come to find out that he really likes Lockett. Lockett would slide right into his #2 WR spot. I texted him the following trade and he is very intrigued by the offer and wants to think on it.

Which side do you like in the trade? Lockett is probably going to end up as my #5 WR (behind Thomas, Cooper, OBJ, and Sutton), so I can afford to get rid of him.

With the emergence of Metcalf and SEA being a run-oriented team, I’m a little worried on Lockett going forward.

His WRs are Adams, Hollywood, Coutee, Crowder, Conley, Reynolds, Higgins, Lazard, and Gage.

Does anyone think this is too much to give up or is that the minimum that it would take to go from 2.02 to 1.06? Looking at dynasty trade values, it has Lockett and 2.02 as worth more than 1.06.

I think Lockett is being undervalued here. I'm not using him to move up like that in such a deep class, unless I can afford it. You look to have a strong team, so it is worth a shot at a better rookie, but I think you should try and get something tacked on to the other side, even if it's just a later pick or upside flyer.

Problem is I don’t know of any upside pieces on his roster that could be tacked on. Those pieces on the end of his roster that could have upside/ those I’m even remotely interested in are Lazard, Josh Reynolds (if Cooks gets traded) and Hurst. I am really intrigued by Hurst, but he will probably cost a little more since his move over to ATL. I would also have to trade/ drop Njoku or Herndon. He has 3.09 this year, 4.05, or 2021 4th that would be a later pick to tack on. Any of those appealing at all?

It's possible that Akers or another WR moves into that tier after the NFL draft making that 1.06 more valuable.

Give me the 1.06 here. You have plenty of WR depth and I'd rather take a shot at someone at the 1.06. Maybe you get lucky and one of the top RB's drops to you. The value is technically on the Lockett/2.02 side, but it's not always just about value.

I am high on Akers. I think the team at FSU held him back (I’m an FSU fan, so I saw firsthand). I think the right landing spot can absolutely vault him into the top 6.

I think right now there is a drop off after those 5, but with the right landing spot Akers could vault up into that tier 1. I know the guy who has picks 1.03 and 1.04 likes Akers, so with the right landing spot, 1 of those top 5 could even fall to me at 1.06. I know it’s a lot of what ifs right now though.

if the goal is to gain a RB i would be offering lockett and 2.02 to someone for a running back
