dynastyninja wrote: Wed Mar 25, 2020 7:40 am Anderson has been crazy overrated this offseason to me. He's talented, but no idea why he's been mentioned as an even remotely premier free agent.

That said, probably hurts Moore a tad. It's weird because I like all of Teddy/CMC/Moore/Anderson, but I have some reservations about the offense and fantasy production (outside of CMC).
He was a premier FA at his position. After Cooper was locked up & AJG tagged that left Anderson, Cobb, Perriman, Manny Sanders, & Dorsett as the top WR FAs. This year was gross for FA WRs.

Factory of Sadness wrote: Wed Mar 25, 2020 7:16 pm I think this is a push for DJM. I also think it might help Samuel. He was badly miscast as a deep threat last year. He isn't very good at ball tracking or at contested catches. He is potentially much better suited as a gadget player/space player. Brady's offense should be creative and he definitely has the players to make it work, with the possible exception of QB. History seems to suggest that it's easier to get an aggressive thrower to be more careful - bar Jameis - than it is to get a conservative passer to open it up. There's no better green light than a crappy D though and Teddy will have that. Playing safety first for the Vikings and Saints is one thing, if he's still checking down when the Panthers are three scores down, this is going to be a short-lived experiment. If he's happy to cut it loose, this team could be fun both in real life and for ff.
Solid points. Lines up with my thinking that Robby mostly takes the deep stuff and lets Samuel work underneath more. I think that may take some away from DJM but we shall see.

Not worried about DJM but that might be the nail for Samuel.

Not worried about DJM either. Also agree Samuel role will change, not sure if better, worse or lateral. Not sure it'll be great for Robby Anderson, but can't be good for all 3. No one has mentioned TE, I had/have high hopes for Thomas not sure how this affects him either.

One thing I feel pretty sure about is that CMC, DJM, Robby, Samuel, AND Thomas can't ALL have good years.

CMC to be fine obviously, but can't repeat last year. I think DJM is next safest. Then I have no idea...

Kyle Allen could do it for Moore, why would you be worried about Teddy? Why would that shock you, do you really think Allen is that much better than Bridgewater?

And who's to say PJ Walker doesn't take over the starting job?

I can't tell if that's sarcasm, but I'm assuming it is.

It's more of a hope and a prayer. Never been a fan of game manager's, and PJ coupled with his old college coach and his success in the XFL makes it a non-zero chance. Do I think it'll happen? Probably not.

It's possible, but that would mean he's better than Teddy so much so, they put him on the bench with a big contract, like the Minshew/Foles situation, so that's would not be a bad thing for any WR.

This is a wish piece. I'd love him in Philly, but this is just a Philly fan article wanting Moore, basically. The entire foundation behind Moore getting traded is because the Panthers signed Robbie Anderson. Did you read this piece of nonsense?

"The Panthers have a new coach — Matt Rhule, a guy with Philly ties who might want to keep Moore around — and want to build an offense predicated on speed. Moore checks all the boxes but Carolina’s acquisition of Robby Anderson seems to indicate he may not be in their long-term plans."

It's a bad piece of writing. Just a Philly fan trying to wish something into reality.

If DJM made it to Philly that would make my day. I'd love to see what DJM can do with high level QB play as the definitive #1 option

That was my takeaway too. Seemed very biased with no support
