Transfer the league fees to 2021. Anyone who paid for future picks will most likely get reimbursed for that year, or have it pushed to the next year after that. You'd probably have to reimburse anyone who decides to leave the league. Will have to eat the MFL costs for a year, most likely.

I can’t imagine MFL not issuing refunds if the season was canceled due to a global pandemic. That would NOT be a good look.

So they would hold all the information for a year for all leagues? I mean, people can still trade, etc. even if there isn't a season. So the site would still be used.

Luckily this is very unlikely to happen in my opinion. Its 6 months away until football, China contained it in 2 months, South Korea in the same amount of time. US can do the same and will if it has too. Hopefully it doesnt get there though. The draft will 100 percent need to be changed though and not having any pro days will be interesting for our draft evaluations and team evaluations. But im pretty sure the season will be fine. Lets hope

Hoping that the good weather slows it down and stops it, like a lot of other viruses such as the flu.

I am one not to panic or overreact to things like this, but this thing is just the beginning in U.S. Now that they are starting to ramp up the testing here there will be a lot more confirmed infected. This will prolly have impact on the league this year. The season might happen but it could affect training camp, preseason and start date of regular season. With that, players could show up in not as good shape as normal and have an affect on performance especially with rookies. Rookies might not get the usual practice and ability to build chemistry and familiar with offense.

This will very likely still be an issue in 6 months. Certainly won’t have a working vaccine in even double that time. That said, I’d be blown away if they outright cancel the season, games will be played. There might be empty stands though, and I wonder if my season tickets will be reimbursed.

As an aside here, I’m actually wondering how that would play out. There’s varying levels that players feed off of the crowd, high volumes, home field advantages (which was historically low last year already), things like that.

Could be a very wierd year.

That'd likely be my out from my current and last league. It would really screw the contenders who have win-now teams.

There's plenty of time before the start of the season. Draft could certainly be delayed if needed and also could be run without spectators and be perfectly fine. If the virus is not reasonably contained by the start though, given the number of players on each team, I can't see them playing games, as once one player has it, the chances of it rapidly spreading to all players would be high.

I think potentially we could see a delay in the start of the season and I wouldn't be surprised if the League and the NFLPA start working on contigencies.

The more interesting part of a potential cancelled season though is going to be, if the season is canceled, I assume picks would be given out in the same order, does this change the draft strategies for the opening part of the draft especially when it comes to QBs.

As it relates to dynasty leagues, the biggest question would be what to do with the rookie draft. What should the order be? plenty of time to debate that though, once we find out if the season is cancelled

I'm down to my last league. It's about as auto-pilot as can be at this point. I built a contender over the years and am coming to the potential end of my current run. I don't mind it as of now, but aging win-now players a year with no ability to recoup lost value would be pretty brutal.

I agree. I said in the other thread that if they cancel the 2020 NFL season then things have become bad enough that nobody will care if there’s no football.
