New Superflex Draft Question- 2021 pick value.

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

New Superflex Draft Question- 2021 pick value.

Postby Outback6 » Mon Mar 02, 2020 8:19 am

Hi,

I'm getting ready to start a draft in a new superflex dynasty league that will include all active players and 2020 draft slots. How much should I give up for a 1st round 2021 pick?

Thanks

Depends on where the pick is likely to fall. Landing Lawrence in SF with the 2021 pick would be big, but trying to guess who may have the worst team is tough coming out of a start up.

Thanks. The offer is a 2021 first rounder and a 16th rounder in the start up draft for my 5th round pick in the startup.

Seems steep to me. Again, if you knew that pick would turn into Lawrence, it could be different, but I don't think there is anyway of knowing that early on in a start up. I would hold your 5th round pick. There will be lots of talent still available.

Thanks- would it be worth it if i gave up an 8th or 9th round pick? Trying to tell where the cut off is for a counter offer. Thanks again.

Anytime! I think it comes down to who is available at that point and where the makeup of your team is. I have literally never made a start up trade like that, so it's tough for me to value/weigh the risk.

Yeah, this depends on who is available. I wouldn’t make a trade like this now and would wait until you are closer to being on the clock with your pick.

For me I would only entertain this at the point of the draft you don't have somebidy you like when you are OTC. I'd rather have the 1st rounder rather than reaching for a guy I like that would probably make it back to me, etc....
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

I was offered a 1st round 2021 pick for my 12th round pick in the start up draft. Thoughts?

Even in a 10 team league, a 12th round pick is at best the 111th best player. If the draft hasn't started yet and someone offered you that, I'd take it right away. If the pick is on the clock, then I'd want to know who's available...but I'm assuming even a late 1st will be worth more than whoever is available in the 12th round.

'21 firsts have a ton of value. The 3 RBs we KNOW are going to declare are all solid, and they're the consolation. If you can land Lawrence or Fields with that pick its absolutely massive, not to mention that it seems like a great WR year. the smaller the league size the more id be looking to acquire
