Barkley for the 1.02 & 1.03

Postby fraction » Fri Feb 21, 2020 2:18 pm

Team 3 in Sig.

My team is a disaster at the moment. SF, PPR, TE premium (1.5).

When Luck retired I had to patch together a season with Kyle Allen and rookie wideouts. I'm looking at a substantial rebuild, and thinking that I can move one of Zeke or Barkley to get draft capital/QB.

I was asked what my price for Barkley would be, and I'm not positive. The other owner has my 1.02, the 1.03, and the 1.11. I currently have the 1.05 and the 2.02.

What do folks think about the 1.02 & 1.03 for Barkley? Some calculators have it fairly close. Also, what do you think of that plan in general?

TIA
Team 1: 0.5 PPR, TE Premium (1 PPR), QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 3 Flex

QB: Watson, Stafford
RB: Barkley, Henry, Dobbins, Fournette, J. White, Richard

Team 2: 0.5 PPR, QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 3 Flex, 1SF

QB: Wilson, Prescott, Mayfield, FitzMagic

RB: Barkley, Zeke, Mostert, Penny, Pollard, Boone
WR: Godwin, Kirk, Hollywood, Slayton, G.Davis,

I would take Barkley if this is an option.

So what do you think the fair market rate is for Barkley? Would adding the 1.11, or Ertz do it?

1.02 and 1.03 for Barkley isn't close for me. You know what you have in Barkley. And chances are he bounces back this year. But given your roster and starting requirements you should look to sell him or Zeke and get a haaaul. Shoot for a combination of some guys like DJ Moore, D.K., Courtland Sutton, Calvin Ridley, and Miles Sanders, Ekeler, Fournette, David Montgomery plus a draft pick. I highly recommend using DLF's trade analyzer to help you package some guys together so you can see how they value in comparison to Barkley or Zeke.

No not for me... if you’re in a rebuild, you want younger pieces... I like Ertz but he’s getting older and has Goedert lurking behind him to take over the reins.

List his team so we can help you put something together. I’m sure you can get a NICE package for Barkley to help your team out. The 1.2 and 1.3 would be huge for you but you definitely need another solid piece.

I did use DLF's analyzer. It actually has the 2 picks as roughly equal in value (slightly higher than Barkley).

If you're gonna use a trade analyzer you have to combine the numbers with some context. Two unproven rookies do not equal Barkley. I would need something tangible back as well. Also, when you're talking about a stud like Barkley it needs to be an overpay. Add another player you like in the 300-400 value range, or make it just 2 players in the 600ish value range. Also look at the trade finder and see some of the ridiculous packages Barkley has fetched. Then you'll be on the right track.

The only pieces i'd want other than the picks are Tyreek and Lamar. What do you think of Barkley and my 1.05 for Tyreek and the 1.02/1.03?

Might be a little too ambitious now but I think the risk involved in Tyreek balances it out some. Regardless, this is the kind of return you need to be looking for to trade Barkley and it's definitely closer to fair than the original proposal.

I’d absolutely do that if you can pull it off. It’s a little heavy on Tyreek side but it’s definitely fair IMO. Over pay should be the only way to get Barkley.

That would be a solid trade for you!

I like the Tyreek idea. But if that falls through, what does the trade analyzer say about those two picks for Zeke. If I was selling one, I’d rather shop him than Saquon anyway.
