I wasn't impressed by Darnold in college, and I'm not particularly impressed by what I've seen from him in the NFL. I'm even less impressed by any football activities in which Adam Gase is involved.

I understand that you need QBs in superflex, but I really don't think Darnold is a good answer here.

Straight value wise, I would want more for a young starting QB.

This was my initial thoughts as well. I originally offered the deal with a 2021 1st coming back but the owner countered with a 2nd.

What if I made the same deal but Kelce instead of Darnold? I've been trying to move him for two seasons to no avail.

x2 I'm kind of shocked by all the Darnold love. Yes, the mono kind of derailed his year, but are we really trusting that he's going to be a reliable fantasy QB with Gase and the Jets' lack of weapons/line quality? I think Darnold >= Chark, and Anderson = 2nd, so this deal is pretty fair as is if you want Chark.

Yup me too, but no one in the league wants him. I've tried for two full seasons to sell for decent value but zero offers. All the contenders have TEs that they're happy win. The bottom tier teams just not at all interested. This is the first time a team that is making moves to contend has an opening at TE. I want to offer Kelce/Robby for Chark/2021 1st but I'm sure he'll reject that too.

I don't like Darnold much at all but I gotta think there's a better deal out there for him in a SF league.

You guys don't have to like Darnold or be impressed by him, but he's still a young (younger than Burrow, Lamar, and other guys in the league) starting QB who will continue to be a starting QB for at least a handful of years. That's still worth a lot more than a WR like Chark in a SF.
