Fournette vs Swift

Postby valfilm » Sun Jan 26, 2020 6:42 am

In dynasty league, I have been offered Fournette for Swift. I am leaning toward taking it since there is no knowing where Swift is going to end up. Any thoughts on this?

Would be helpful to have more info, such as league settings and your roster. But if the LF owner is coming to you, I’d try to see what else I could get added to LF side.

It is 70 person roster best ball league so roster is hard to list. My question is strictly which player has more upside over the next 3 or 4 years in 1 pt PPR best ball league? When does Fournette start to break down now that he is 25?

Right now I'd take the known workhorse.
Swift profiles as a three down back but what if he ended up in New England, Philly or somewhere surprising

I have seen Swift mocked to Miami...think it was Daniel Jeremiah

I am not one to trade a known commodity for an unknown, especially not even knowing landing spot
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

Fournette easily. You know his workload and especially in a best ball league, Fournette is a great piece.

Yeah he mocked it and since then it’s become a pretty popular landing spot among the pundit community

Your league format throws me off a bit, but i would definitely take Swift. Lenny has 1 year left on his rookie deal, then who knows where he goes, potentially falling off the value cliff.

I'll take the likely 1st round pick who will have 5 projectable years as a lead back. If Miami drafts Tua and Swift, he'll be in a way better position than Lenny come August.

Confused by this Gator. In any format but best ball, I would agree with holding Fournette.

For me, Fournette could put up 25-30 any given week. Swift has yet to play a down in the NFL. No clue what his ceiling is at this point. I would take the guy that is going to get 20 carries and based on last year 5 - 10 catches a game. I have never played best ball, but Fournette seems like a great best ball piece because you get his monster games every time he has one. I could be off here though.

I'd take Swift. I don't think Fournette will last, and with the OC gone, I expect a big drop in receptions. That system loved to target the RB, and I don't see him repeating those catches. I think Swift can get more than Fournette at this time of year.

I'd take Swift..Fournette is just as much an unknown. He's under contract for 2020 but after Jacksonville voided the guaranteed $$ in his contract, He may just want to move on to a better team after this year.

By the time summer drafts roll around I think the consensus will be taking swift over fournette. I would rather have swift.
