Fair price for Sutton

My team is in a rebuild.

I am holding 6x 2021 1st (4-5 should be top 6). My WRs are AJ Brown, DJ Chark, McLaurin, Miller and John Ross.

I am trying to get Courtland Sutton, but the owner is asking 3x 2021 1st!! I feel like that is way too much.
What is his price? And should I stay away and focus on other WRs?

My only RB is Guice, so I am nowhere near competing.

I wouldn’t sell him for 2 2021 firsts, so I kinda get where the guy is coming from asking for 3 of them. But that said I wouldn’t pay that either. Sounds like a hold situation all around.

I think there is some room here to negotiate. I think 2 randomish 2021 1sts is too little for Sutton, but 3 may be a little high. What about 2 2021 firsts and a 2021 2nd. Or a 2020 1st and a 2021 1st.

I agree that a mid 2020 1st and a 2021 first is pretty fair for both sides.

Way too much for Sutton, and I like him a lot. I advise don't trade for him at all, you say you're in a rebuild, so have some patience and rebuild. Keep the picks and build through the draft, next years class is STACKED at WR and you will likely be able to draft a WR who's a similar or better prospect than Sutton was when he was entering the league. Just keep doing what you are doing and you'll get the great young players you are after at a cheaper price by drafting them yourself, you don't have to do it all overnight.

I agree with the previous post. Adding Sutton won’t have you on the short list to compete for the title, so stay the course. The list of talented players coming out next season got longer with a few potential members of the 2020 class returning to college. You gathered picks for the rebuild, so use each one on a talented player during that draft unless the offer blows you away.

Piling on. Too much for Sutton. I’d hold the picks if you are nowhere near competing. Sutton alone isn’t going to change that.

Hold those picks. Denver is rumored to be interested in drafting one of the top end rookie Wrs..so if that happens Suttons upside comes way down in my opinion.
