This was in 2017 when Keenum was still the Viking QB with a short leash and Amari was dropping every pass that came his way. I only had 1qb at the time and was desperate. Needless to say how much I regretted that the next day.
I co-owned a team with a friend who convinced me that we should trade Keenan Allen for Zac Stacy after we were drinking. I didn't like it at the time and obviously it's much worse now.
i bet at the time that didnt look like such a bad trade. now i doubt you can even find many people who know who Zac Stacy is lmao
There was a time in my life where I knew that name, but I did have to look him up.

At the start of the 2018 season I traded away CMC for Guice and Sony. The only reason I was even able to get them was because they were both injured at the time.

First dynasty trade I ever made.

2013 - Everyone kept picking all rb's in startup (most were redraft owners). I went insanely WR heavy. Actually had a really good startup draft that made my team good for awhile, but I had CRAP RB's. After draft I looked at a loaded team with horrid RB's, so traded:

Demaryius Thomas and Frank Gore for Ray Rice

- At that point Ray Rice was a 25 year old stud. He suddenly sucked that year, then was out of the league :(

Have made quite a few blunders over the years, the one's that stick out the most:

Before this season - gave Aaron Jones + Landry received James Conner + 2.04. Thought Conner would have a huge year, then big Ben goes down and Conner gets hurt. This stings.
The off season before Calvin Retired Gave OBJ + 1.12 received Calvin + 1.04 - Calvin had an OK year than retired. Ouch
During the 2016 season - Gave what turned out to be the 2.1 (turned into Karmara) + Cameron Merideth received J. Charles - I knew the pick would be 2.1, and charles never played a game for me as he promptly got injured in practice that week.

WTF?!?! Why???
lol
He was new to dynasty and had ZERO concept of how to value draft picks
Also, he thought Humphries was gonna be a stud and said "Le'Veon always misses games" (He didn't own Le'Veon) lol

I told him if he wanted to get fleeced, he should've come to me and I would've at least left him some dignity

He's a better owner today but still hasn't grasped the long-term implications to his transactions in this format
I've tried to provide him some resources to preserve his team & the competitive balance of the league

It's not a trade, but i picked up Chris Conley on waivers before this season and bypassed chark...

Foles was supposed to have a good connection to Conley.

Worst trade would have been Edelman+3rd for a 2nd a few years back. It ended up being the 2.10 and I tanked, so my 3rd was 3.01. Lots of value to move up 1 spot.

Picture it - January 2017, during the 2016 season I had picked up a 5th round WR of waivers that had once played at Oklahoma State by the name of Tyreek Hill. I also had a young WR who had disappointed so far by the name of Davante Adams. I traded them both for Keenan Allen.

Now, it could have been worse, but my team would definitely benefit from two top 5 WRs rather than just one top 12 guy.

In Corey Davis rookie year I traded Melvin Gordon for him with 4 rnds to go thinking he was about to blow up and I thought Gordon was going to drop off a cliff. Gordon ended up having another really good season and I'm still stuck with Davis.

Also I owned Kelce, Ertz, and Hunter Henry, sold Ertz for a 1st to the team coming 2nd last. He went on an undefeated run that involved every team he played scoring the lowest score in the round, scraped into the finals in what seemed an impossible way requiring 3 straight weeks of results going just in his favour then he beat me in the ship game :wall:

A lot of the posted trades are pretty mild. Others will have me beat, but I have a few:
  • Traded Nuk/1st for Crabtree (plus some other minimal pieces on both sides)
  • As mentioned before, traded Keenan Allen for Zac Stacy.
  • Two firsts for Treadwell
  • TY for Rashad Jennings
  • Not exactly a trade, but it did involve one. In one my earlier startups I had the chance to draft rookies Julio Jones and AJ Green back-to-back with the 1.12 and 2.01. Instead, I traded back with one of the picks and ultimately took Hakeem Nicks and Kenny Britt. Definitely didn't know what I was doing early on.

Got really drunk and gave up a pair of (late) firsts for AB right when he went to the Pats thinking he’d be the piece that put me over the top.

Acquiring AB anytime in the last year was a high risk but high reward. He's a head case now so it's not happening, but he's still physically up to being an elite WR so I can see why taking that chance was so tempting.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.
